Just spent 5 nights at Commodore Lodge with our two year old and really relaxed and enjoyed sitting on the front balcony (sea view room) drinking our wine and watching world go by and the amazing sunset. Great location and Russ and Gill really helpful and friendly. Might have to visit again.. More

We have just spent 3 nights in Russell at the Commodore Lodge. Our booking advised no views and recent rennovations of the room (2 bedroom). Wasn't blown away by this as we perhaps expected having read the reviews but this side of the bay is certainly the side to stay on compared to Pahaia - you can catch a ferry between the two in the evening if you like and the car ferry getting here was fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at commodores. We had a 1 bedroom poolside room. We had our baby with us and they provided a portacot for us. The room was well appointed, fresh and very clean.
