Just back from our second stay with Emma and Steve, and hope that we’ll be able to visit again in the not too distant future! I will admit not being a lover of Lodges, so you must take what I say about the White House with that in mind. You arrive at the front of the place, it looks untidy, you then go via the back passageway to the back door, the garden looks untidy and generally the whole outside looks in need of care... more

The White House is on a quiet side street, close to the sea. Emma and Steve really makes you feel at home without intruding. The decoration is very nice with some ingenious touches like peebles embedded in the floor in the bathroom, a touch sensitive bedside lamp, ... Overall a very nice stay. more

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the White House. Steve & Emma were great in advising how to make the best of our stay. The rooms and facilities were great and we felt very comfortable and spoilt. Russell is a lovely quaint scenic village. Hopefully we will return. more

Steve and Emma are great hosts. Unobtrusive yet always available to help whether it be the luggage, special breakfast requests or booking local tours. The White House was as delightful as Russell itself. We were greeted warmly by Emma and Steve who were extremely kind and attentive throughout our stay.
