We have a cute cottage in the garden which is part of our Bed & Breakfast. This has been purposely built in character with the old house. It is a flat leisurely 2 minute walk into Russell Village. Tea & coffee facilities are provided as are bathrobes, toiletries, hair dryers, and fluffy towels, in room flat screen TV and stereo, and lots of pillows for your comfort. I was not going to write this review, but decided that because I found this B&B through TripAdvisor I should alert others to the problem we had. A picture perfect seaside town and a quite brilliant bed and breakfast . Viv and Brad were great hosts with some excellent recommendations for things to do like try out long beach , walks and boat trips. Why stay anywhere else in Rusell?

We stayed at another B/B in town but decided on another night AND Arapohue House was FAR SUPERIOR - friendly helpful hosts, superb breakfasts,lovely rooms with quality linens, comforable beds and immaculate gardens tidy and tended. Matched Pentland House in Whangarei. Don't miss this treat in Russell Pat and Anne English Lake District

“Gracious Hosts, Wonderful Stay”

We booked a night and decided to stay for another. Bradley and Vivienne were marvelous hosts and spoiled us for the rest of our vacation - the Arapohue House was one of our best accommodations during the 3 weeks we were in the country. Breakfast was superb!

“Warm & Welcoming - couldn't have asked for more.”

Vivienne and Bradley made us very welcome and were very accommodating. The breakfasts were superb and catered for all tastes. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arapohue House to anyone.
