The Ambleside in Nelson, NZ is one of our best B&B stays ever! The facilities were immaculate, the full breakfasts were gourmet, and hosts Kees and Robin were simply fantastic. If the world were filled with people like Kees & Robin, we'd have no issues or controversies. They are wonderful, warm caring people who go out of their way to... More

WOW what can we say?! If all our guests were as lovely as this dear man we would never want to give up doing B&B! We had to place these guests in a different room from the one booked, as the renovation was not completed in time for their stay. But not a whisper of a complaint and only graciousness... More

My wife and I stayed here 3 night for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Our hosts were fantastic from our arrival to our departure. They helped us get settled, find things in the area, and set up a tour of a national park nearby. The house is very close to the airport and a... More

Always happy to be of assistance especially when it comes to helping guests with their local itinerary and making the most of their stay here. My wife and I visited Nelson as part of a driving honeymoon now just over a year ago. I am more than happy to see that Robyn and Kees are still entertaining visitors to Nelson and inviting them to stay with them at their beautiful home. My wife and I recall our stay at Ambleside B&B with great fondness and... More

This couple were so delightful! We thank you for such lovely and kind words.. It is a balancing act to give our guests as much space and privacy as they desire but at the same time trying to be friendly and helpful. The way our B&B provides this is having several outdoor areas where guests can relax away from others... More

Much enjoyed our brief stay made a bit more memorable as we arrived at the tailend of Cyclone Lusi, so very wet! We were well looked after and our hosts were most helpful. Comfortable bed and a good breakfast! John and Denise

We do so appreciate our lovely guests taking the time to write a review and especially from those who stay only one night, as it is then often difficult to showcase our beautiful region and all it has to offer. However it is nice to hear guests do still enjoy our hospitality which we endeavour to deliver to everyone no... More

One of the best B&Bs we've stayed in whilst travelling in New Zealand. Robyn & Kees seem to have thought of everything and are very helpful and pleasant. The room was really good and breakfast was amazing. Ambleside is a long walk or a short drive from a beautiful beach. It is further into town but not excessively far. They... More

Thank you for such kind words about our B&B, but oohh Nelson is so worth much more than just a couple of nights stay! As stated we are just half an hours walk from our beautiful Tahunanui Beach, safe for swimming and with the lovely sculpture walk and the delightful Beach Café at the end it is a must do... More

The Ambleside is a great choice for a stay in Nelson. Robyn and Kees are wonderful hosts who are anxious to make your stay a pleasant one. They were very helpful with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. The Cream Honeymoon Suite at the back of the house is very quiet and private. The bathroom is a bit small, but spotlessly clean.... More

Thank you for the great review! As well as our service, our breakfasts are our main 'point of difference' here at Ambleside. We do offer a generous continental, but our cooked options are so much more than just "eggs"! We have crepes with seasonal berries; blueberry pancakes with mascarpone and maple syrup and lots of other delicious options available from... More

Stayed here when we were going to do the Abel Tasman walk. We stayed for 2 nights and were able to leave our luggage whilst we did the walk for 3 days then returned for a night. Again we are so humbled by the kind words of our lovely guests... Thank you so much for the wonderful review. We spent two weeks travelling between both Islands of New Zealand and quite apart from the most friendly and welcoming reception from Robyn and Kees the accommodation here was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the attention to detail with personal preferences for breakfast was excellent. Mike & Val, England

Our hosts were very friendly. The house, room and gardens were pretty. Free wi fi. Lots of brochures, snacks, etc in a shared lounge. No tv in each room, but private bathrooms for each.
