Marvellous location for a truly needed relaxing weekend. Lovely place to wake up in and stroll to the city and Hill Walks around Nelson. The owner is a special person who cares for her visitors. Breakfast was a treat and an experience. Will be back.

Well without sounding like a broken record with all the previous reviews I have to say this place is epic. If you want to chill and relax in amazing surroundings and comfort, while still being within walking distance of what's happening in Nelson then "You need to stay here". Paulina is an absolute star... Tour guide advice, amazing host and... More

I cannot rate my stay at Joya B&B highly enough to truly reflect the experience I had here. It was superb, memorable, and I will return in a heartbeat with my young family in the future. I was in Nelson for a postgraduate paper seminar and also in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. I was a bit nervous about my... More

Me and my partner arrived at Joya Garden without a booking around 8 pm and Paulina was so kind and generous to provide us a room for the night. Seriously, you can not ask for a better host. As soon as you enter Joya Garden you start to feel the warmth and love that place is holding. The room with... More

We came to Joya for the long weekend as a family and it was more than we could have hoped for! We were greeted like friends by our host Paulina and shown to our gorgeous room with balcony, antique furniture and comfy futon. The whole place is very clean and decorated in a very tasteful way. Our "Juliette Suite"had its... More

This is a beautiful old Nelson house with a couple of villas built at the back. It is situated in a quiet, pleasant neighbourhood a short walk from the town centre. The owner, Paulina, is a bright, bubbly personality with a great deal of local knowledge and is very welcoming. We thought we would be staying in one of the... More

Joya was my first stay in NZ and was very welcoming. Paulina is a lovely host and very helpful with local knowledge, she went out of her way to provide assistance with lifts and minding some luggage. The house is lovely, most comfortable and the bathroom, with bath, was a great asset after returning from a long walk. The area... More

We had never tried a B&B for our holiday stay, boy; are we glad we chose Joya. From the wonderful accommodation to the bubbly owner Paulina, it was a fantastic experience. And how can we forget the sumptuous continental breakfast (thanks paulina for serving us eggs also)? It was a memorable stay. You helped us with your local knowledge to... More

We were lucky enough to experience both the room in the house and the self contained studio when we holidayed in Nelson. We made Joya our base in Nelson for the Abel Tasman Coastal Walk. Paulina was a great host, and we were very grateful that she happily dropped us off and picked us up from our bus stop -... More
