We left the Palazzo this morning and I wanted to write a review asap! If you're going to Nelson, we recommend the lodge. We had to be upgraded to an apartment as Id booked a studio and my son's portacot wouldnt fit. RESULT! We stayed here for 3 nights in November 2009, and had a great time. Nelson itself was lovely and this motel is close to the main shopping/dining areas - less than a 5 minute walk. The owners - Kiara in particular - were really helpful at check in, suggesting restaurants (of which we tried 3 - all very good food)... more

i have stayed in many hotels/motels all over new zealand and many abroad, but Palazzo stands out by a mile! Pristine rooms, service with a smile 100% of the time and owners who go out of their way to help. Next time i'm i Nelson, this is my first port of call. A real gem! more

The loaction in Nelson is very comfortable. The roms are super-clean and cosy. The hospitality of Kiara is what makes the big difference, never seen such thing before. Recommend to everyone who looks fr an accomodation in Nelson, do not go anywhere else!!! more

Immaculate rooms, high spec and extremely comfortable. Very friendly and helpful owners who really go the extra mile to make your stay as good as it can be. Great little touches such as the free DVD library. more
