This is a good basic motel, it is well maintained and has free washing/drying facilities. The rooms are not large, but OK. The whole complex is extremely compact. It is well positioned in Nelson. I suppose we were a little disappointed given the write ups on Trip Advisor but actually it's fine, not however outstanding. The staff are friendly. more

Totally agree with all the positive comments others have made about Cedar Grove, we stayed here for two nights and the quality, service and location were all outstanding. All the basics are covered, and lots of nice-to-haves as well. Really helpful and friendly staff, clean and modern rooms, and easy walking distance into town. more

Stayed 2 nights at the Cedar Grove, very comfortable & clean accommodation, we had upstairs unit overlooking courtyard with sitting/dining/kitchen area, seperate bedroom and bathroom & balcony. Good location in a quieter area but easy walking distance to interesting little town of Nelson. Our favourite eating place was the Cafe Affair, stonegrill steak was superb. more

Great Location, just a walk over the bridge to the information center and city center also. Provides parking, information, etc, facilities are excellent. Cleaning done everyday. Wined and dined in Nelson everyday. Missed out on wine tours which are reputed to be fantastic. more
