Travelling with a 4 year old and my parents, we booked both the Chart House Main and Upper decks. My hubby, child and I stayed in the Upper Deck, a perfectly sized 2 bed apartment, full kitchen, excellent bathroom and the most perfect view of the bay. My mum and dad stayed in the Main Deck and dad could have... More

I stayed in the Chart House Upper Deck - 2 bedroom apartment. It is well set out with fantastic views aver the harbour. A true holiday home rather than a hotel/motel. Nice touches included coffee provided in a canister (not little sachets), a well-equipped kitchen and sensor lights on the outside steps. The rattan blinds in the bedrooms mean the... More

We have a 9mth son and found the Crows Nest ideal... Modern, clean, kitchen, BBQ and plenty of space including a downstairs bedroom for him with the cot they provided. The heaters kept the place warm at night and the afternoon sun certainly warmed the apartment during the day. It's up a steep hill for walking but the reward is... More

This place definitely lives up to its fine reputation with spectacular views over Nelson Bay. We spent three nights in the Captain’s Quarters and were not disappointed. A few minor things which could be looked at included the shower, which is the only feature that lets it down. A major refurbishment – ie brand new shower with a door (please... More

We stayed in the wheelhouse inn just for one night as a birthday get away treat for my partner. The accommodation totally exceeded our expectations. It had character, amazing views from both the living room and the bedroom, was really well equipped for doing your own cooking and the icing on the cake was the deck which we didnt expect... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the Chart House, which is a 1 bedroom ground floor unit. This spot has great views to the west over the harbour. Great for drinking wine on the verandah watching the sunset is very nice. Sadly this time the visit was spoiled by 2 small children in the Crows nest unit... More

On a month tour of NZ, we were lucky enough to stay here. As a couple, we travelled with our toddler and would highly recommend this accommodation. As the name suggests, the place has a nautical feel. In the evening, we would enjoy a glass of local wine and watch the sunsets across the Tasman bay, spectacular. The property was... More

My husband and I recently stayed in this lovely accommodation for 8 nights, in the Crows Nest holiday home. Everything was better than we thought it would be (and we had high expectations for it to start with!) ... sensational views, peaceful location, warm & stylish accommodation, comfortable bed, good quality linen, plenty of crockery etc. I miss it all... We stayed in the Crows Nest and our friends stayed in the Main Deck for two nights and only wish we could have stayed longer. The views over Nelson are amazing. The personnel touches and the very high standards that Ralph, Sally and Kim maintain with the property make staying in these magnificent apartments just heaven. This really is an... More

The view from the Wheelhouse Inn cabin is absolutely spectacular. We only stayed one night unfortunately, but didn't leave early for Abel Tasman as planned just becuase we wanted to enjoy the view a while longer. Ralph provided some fantastic tips for our upcoming days activities which we enjoyed as well. Also enjoyed all of the cabin's amentities (laundry, music,... More
