We booked in on the day of travel choosing from the AA accommodation book and looking from the outside. Taking off the top cover of the bed after checking in I discovered a bad stain on the duvet! The linen also at first glance looked as though it had not been changed as they were not ironed. Because of this... More

We stayed here for one night in early January and booked this motel because of its proximity to the beach, cafes etc and because it had a pool. On arrival, we were lucky to be able to book into our room straightaway because it had been vacant the night before. Our room was perfectly adequate but the bed cover needed... More

Twice I have stayed at this hotel. First time on my honeymoon. Then again this year in May for 26th Annversory. I paid extra for the room. Got the spa room. The water couldn't fill the bath and it turned cold. They TV was so small you couldn't watch it. There was no telephone in the room. Everything else was... More

My company had me stay here while working in the Nelson region for a few days, on arrival was given an excellent welcome which made feel at home straight away. The rooms are very spacious quite and very clean and well heated for the cooler winter months. there is a onsite restaurant for breakfast only or you can have a... More

Recently stayed at the motor inn and found it a very enjoyable experience. Office staff were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. We had an upstairs room overlooking the pool which was huge. The room was also very clean and well presented. There are plenty of eating options in close proximity. Highly recommend. Well priced.

The motel is in a good location. The beach is just 5 minute walk it,s a lovely sandy beach. Shop centre is small but if you go to richmond there is a bigger shopping area and a big super market as well that's if you need supplies and with good prices.

I stayed here for the weekend, travelling solo. Spacious rooms, really clean and tidy. Loved the treats in the mini bar! Close to shops- Pharmacy, cafes, pubs, McDonalds & Subway- something for everyone! The Motel has a great swimming pool, 3 min walk to the gorgeous Tahanui Beach where you can hire paddle boards, get an ice-cream and a park... More

Nelson, is like every so called town little. The motel is 5 minutes from the so called centre. Beautiful location, what worried me a little bit, is their community kitchen.also the fact that campers and others are allowed.was surprised to see people sleeping all night in sofa in tv lounge. But rooms are ok, only reception has crazy opening hours

This is great value in a very popular tourist area. Our studio room was large and comfortable with a king sized bed, tub chairs to relax in and Sky television. The bed was extremely firm bordering on rock hard. Our room was quiet with no road noise but the mini fridge was loud when it cycled on. The air conditioning... More
