My company had me stay here while working in the Nelson region for a few days, on arrival was given an excellent welcome which made feel at home straight away. The rooms are very spacious quite and very clean and well heated for the cooler winter months. there is a onsite restaurant for breakfast only or you can have a... More

Recently stayed at the motor inn and found it a very enjoyable experience. Office staff were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. We had an upstairs room overlooking the pool which was huge. The room was also very clean and well presented. There are plenty of eating options in close proximity. Highly recommend. Well priced.

The motel is in a good location. The beach is just 5 minute walk it,s a lovely sandy beach. Shop centre is small but if you go to richmond there is a bigger shopping area and a big super market as well that's if you need supplies and with good prices.

I stayed here for the weekend, travelling solo. Spacious rooms, really clean and tidy. Loved the treats in the mini bar! Close to shops- Pharmacy, cafes, pubs, McDonalds & Subway- something for everyone! The Motel has a great swimming pool, 3 min walk to the gorgeous Tahanui Beach where you can hire paddle boards, get an ice-cream and a park... More

Nelson, is like every so called town little. The motel is 5 minutes from the so called centre. Beautiful location, what worried me a little bit, is their community kitchen.also the fact that campers and others are allowed.was surprised to see people sleeping all night in sofa in tv lounge. But rooms are ok, only reception has crazy opening hours

This is great value in a very popular tourist area. Our studio room was large and comfortable with a king sized bed, tub chairs to relax in and Sky television. The bed was extremely firm bordering on rock hard. Our room was quiet with no road noise but the mini fridge was loud when it cycled on. The air conditioning... More

We spent three nights at the Beachcomber, and found them to be good value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was great. We did find a staff member a bit odd on the day we arrived, but everyone else was lovely. Not a bad place to rest your head after exploring Nelson!

We stayed for only one night but did enjoy a comfortable night. After a slight hick-up being given the wrong type of room, the one we settled into was good value for the $99 we paid. This was very reasonable over the festive period. Great pool that sees the sunshine till late afternoon. " mins walk from a lovely golden... More

We stayed here for three nights whilst exploring the area and found the place to be excellent. Although between two roads with McDonalds and a gas station at one end, there was not any traffic noise to speak of and we were in an end room. The beach is a couple of minutes walk away and there several eateries of... More

Restaurants walking distance as is beach, will look at Beachcomber for next summer with the family. Rooms are very quiet even during a local... More
