We had a wonderful stay on a B&B basis. Very child friendly, we received a very warm reception and every effort was made to make us and our 2 children under the age of 2 feel welcome. We stayed in the top apartment and had use of the main kitchen to cater for our children. Our 23 month daughter had... more

This echoes what others have said. It was a climb up some steep internal stairs to our apartment on the top floor but the apartment itself lacked for nothing: a large comfortable bed, excellent heating, a very well-appointed bathroom, stereo, TV and wi-fi (although there is also a laptop available for guest use with broadband on tap in the guest... more

The guys immediately make you feel welcome and the B&B has a really relaxing and homely feel to it. The rooms are well kept and the 1850's property has been restored sensitively and authentically which added to the charm of the visit. I only wish we could have stayed there longer than the 2 nights and that it hadn't rained... more

Wow, what a fantastic set up! This beautiful house was our initiation into the realm of " B&B's" and I should say that this would be a hard act to follow. From the stunning view across the Bay, the sensuous roses in the spacious room to the immaculate breakfast setting, this is the place where you will be treated like... more

WeMy husband and I and 22 year old son spent two weeks traveling around the South Island, staying 2 nights in Nelson at Te Puna Wai, toward the end of our travels. If we could give them more than 5 stars we would. Richard just couldn’t do enough for his guests. He recommended restaurants, activities, drove us to a fantastic... more

We liked this place so much we extended our stay. A beautiful home with great views & location but also a lovely laid back attitude, great food, great conversation & some really useful tips on Nelson & the surrounding areas. Definitely one of the highlights of our month in NZ. Judith & Brian Frith Jersey, Channel Islands more

This is one of the best B & Bs we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a few). The attention to detail was excellent e.g. silver cutlery, white table linen, flowers in the room. I can not fault anything. Our room had wonderful view over the sea. Richard and James are great hosts. Incredibly helpful and very... more
