This place has all my expectations met, and beyond. Our room was fairly large with comfortable bed,and sofa. There is also a lovely patio for resting. The free wifi was really appreciated. Richard and James are wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas what to do and help us plan our itinerary. They served cooked breakfast for us (most B&B only... More

We stayed in the Haulashore Appartment for three nights. The views from the windows and French doors were beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom good and the kitchenette was fully fitted out. The fridge and pantry had everything you might need, teas and coffees, even cold beer, soda and tonic. When my wife joked that there was no... More

January 2015 three night stay. Very intimate home, started out upstairs in Fifeshire Suite with fabulous views and huge bathroom with great soaking tub and separate shower. Last two nights moved down to Haulover Apartment which opened up and access to outside patio, full kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit. Breakfast was over the top, starting with the... More

Very personal hotel where you feel at home. Very relaxed still beautiful and high quality. We stayed at this very elegant Victorian house for 3 nights. It oversees the Tasman Bay from the fantastic veranda and is close to both the beach and the Abel Tasman Park a bit further down the road. It is close to good restaurants, but you... More

Richard and James have put together an outstanding place. The Victorian House is beautifully decorated and the gardens are wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for our excellent hosts including moving us for our second night to the ground floor apartment. Both the rooms we had were beautiful with incredible views but the stairs were a little troublesome! When I... More

This victorian building has been lovingly renovated by the current owners and the quality of the work is apparent at every turn. Set on a hillside overlooking the Tasman Bay (did I mention the views?) the house is a delight to look at and stay in. Our room was ground floor front and had a verrandah and a small garden... More

We stayed at this wonderful B&B two years in a row. All the rooms in this elegant Victorian house are clean and beautiful. It oversees the Tasman Bay and is close to the beach and Abel Tasman Park a bit further down the road. I wanted to stay in our room all day and just enjoy the view but there... More

Words cannot express how grateful I am to the two hosts/owners of this BB. Without James, I wouldn't have made it to Abel Tasman tour without his directions, or to Blenheim through Queen Charlotte Drive or even throughout the rest of my stay. I accidentally forgot my laptop computer here and I couldn't believe it when the host at my... More

What a brilliant place with magnificent views. Located a few minutes from the city centre and with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Our hosts, Richard and James were a hoot. James cooks up a mean breakfast served with all the trappings. A standout is his orange juice...pulp and all. As for the sartorially dressed Richard in his tighter fitting... More

The house: a nice, cozy, hardwood floor home. A great balcony and a great garden for sitting with a drink at the end of the day (both overlook the Tasman Bay facing west). The room: very well-kept, comfortable bed, nice modern bathroom. Well-stocked with refreshments (tea, coffee, beer, etc.,). The breakfast: fresh fruit every day. Great local breads. Great eggs,...
