Cathedral Inn is not easy to find on your own - make sure to get specific driving directions from them, or if arriving by plane/bus, have them pick you up. It is in a quiet, residential area "behind" the cathedral. It is a short walk around the cathedral to get to the main shopping area, which makes it more central... more

This is our third time to stay at the Cathedral Inn. It is our favorite B&B in New Zealand. Nelson is one of the sunniest area of New Zealand and you couldn't ask more from an accommodation. Cathedral Inn is a large, old-style and attractive house situated in a pretty street right behind Nelson Cathedral. It is absolutely ideally located being only a short and equally pretty walk through the cathedral gardens to the main dining and shopping areas in the town. Our children had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and they absolutely loved it. The idea that you can just come down for a wonderful breakfast each morning made them pretty happy.
