We stayed here for two nights. The house is beautiful and our room was beautiful too. The attached terrace room was lovely, as was the lounge, where it was good to relax after a hectic day, with a cup of tea! The breakfasts were delicious. The dining room is fascinating. Janet is an excellent host. When we mentioned we were... More

We recently spent four wonderful weeks in New Zealand and one of the highlights of our holiday was our stay at The Baywick Inn where we were offered first-class accommodation and service. We had a beautiful room with our own balcony complete with furniture which was great to retreat to after a busy day's sightseeing. There is a guest lounge... More

We stayed in March for three nights. Secluded position in a lovely area close to Nelson centre. Great hosts who went out of their way to help us make the most of our stay with them. Scrumptious breakfasts and a glass of port before bed. Would highly recommend.

Baywick is a charming, historic guesthouse on a quiet street close to downtown. Tim and Janet are delightful hosts who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Tim helped with arrangements for sailing in Abel Tasman, Janet did some laundry for a minimal price and helped with dinner suggestions. Room was large, quaint and comfortable but constrained... Thank you for your review. I have checked the deck door and it seems to be working fine. Because we leave the key in the door sometimes some guests lock the door and don't realize that it is actually locked, sorry about that. In future if guests have any problems with something, just ask as we are more than happy... More

What a lovely stay . Lovely rooms and great hosts who made a delicious breakfast. So handy to town yet so quiet. From our windows upstairs could see only trees on 3 sides. Blissimus. Would come back anytime

5-7 minutes walk from the centre of Nelson, Baywick Inn is a charming guesthouse with a self contained cottage, in a quiet street adjacent to a river. Janet's hospitality was superb, nothing too much trouble. Recommend the sumptuous cottage for 2 couples or a family (2 x king beds plus ensuite). You're on the edge of town and there is... More

We are so glad that you enjoyed the 'cottage'. it is a great way to travel with 2 couples. I will point out though that the beds are Queens not Kings, I would hate to disappoint some future guests who need a King. We are very lucky to be so close to the centre of town, it certainly makes going... More

My partner and I stayed at this delightful B&B in March 2015. The room upstairs at the back of the property was meticulously clean, extremely comfortable and spacious. The cooked breakfast was most enjoyable as to was the conversation with other travelers at the Breakfast Table. The Hosts are gracious, professional and welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend this B&B and... More

Our hosts Janet and Tim along with Jazzy were wonderful hosts. It's an easy walk to town. There are lots of brew pubs to choose from Tim can advise which has the best beer. The room was amazing clean and quiet. Food for breakfast was better than I cook at home in Toronto. They even have real Maple syrup fromCanada.... More

Everything about our stay at Baywick was perfect......the location, beautiful rooms with the most comfortable bed, amazing breakfasts (best eggs ever!). Love being able to walk to the town centre and return to such a lovely setting. Janet and Tim were so helpful with suggestions and things like 'laundry'! A lovely experience and place where we hope to return. Jane... More

Tim and Janet certainly know how to make their guests feel special. A week is far too short. Care, comfort and consideration to which you can add local knowledge. Stay as long as you can to reap the benefits. We love being in Nelson and staying at the Baywick and cannot image a more lovely house in which to stay.
