I travelled to Nelson with my parents lately and we stayed at the paradiso apartments. The room was fantastic with everything you could ask for supplied i.e. Air con, fresh linen and towels every day, a powerful hot shower, Sky tv and a kitchenette. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly going out of their way to make the stay... More

Excellent facilities at this motel. So nice to have unlimited free wifi without having to constantly check the data use. unit was very clean and the room was serviced daily. Extremely comfortable extra large bed that felt like you were sleeping in a cloud. wonderful stay made even better with very helpful and friendly staff. Thank you.

I visit Nelson frequently on business, on this my usual accommodation choice was closed for renovation, so I ended up staying at Paradiso, I was initially a little dubious of the tacky name and on arrival a little worried by the pseudo Mexican exterior, however my fears were quickly dispelled, the owners/managers are great, really helpful and the room itself... I am a business traveller and stay at different motels nationwide. Paradiso cost $140 a night (which is expensive by national standards), is very basic and has very thin walls. To top it all off I was woken at 6:30am by someone working downstairs compacting rubbish. The location is a long way fro Nelson central too.

Fantastic Motel. Fast free unlimited wifi, clean and comfortable room with a huge bed. It was about a 10 minute walk into the town and just around the corner from a lovely little pub called the sprig and fern. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

It's important to to know that this is very basic accommodation which is shared with Backpackers. I have nothing against Backpackers been one myself but clients need to know that all the facilities, pool etc is designed for the backpackers and you need to go Into their area to enjoy these. The motel is actually an add on to,the Bacpacker... More

Booked the motel based on facility's and the claim European style with spa bath. Well first of all the Motels facility's ( sauna, spa and pool) is located at the very back of the property and is more so for the backpackers than the Motel. Nowhere it said that the facility's are shared, due to the good weather the areas... More

Very quiet even though adjacent to Paradiso Backpackers. Easy, pleasant walk into Nelson. Very comfortable and clean but maybe slightly overpriced for what you get - we paid $130. Availability of reception staff was a bit adhoc (not full time)

2nd time staying here (motel section). Good rooms, decent size, well appointed, quiet. Close enough to town. Breakfast is in the backpackers dining room and isn't gordon-bleu, but that's OK (unless you're a complete snob).

$99 a night. Sky Tv, heat pump, huge spa bath, complimentary toiletries- including bath gel! .Beds are made up and dressed equal to 5star hotel!! Dining chairs a bit "retro"....Was great to pop head into backpackers part- if I didn't know it was there I would have had no idea as its well and truly separate from the apartment part.... More
