Very clean, new, well equipped rooms, comfy beds & aircon, very friendly hosts who clearly take great pride in their motel. Close to town, rooms back from the main road so not too noisy. However, two criticisms. 1) We stayed in 4 hotels in NZ all costing around $200 per night. The room at Century lodge was at least 1/2... More

This is a group of apartments run by a private proprietor. It is on the main road leading to the city of Nelson. It is within walking distance – 15-20 mins. It does have ample room for parking. We stayed for 4 nights with a king bedroom, a separate living room and kitchen, called the Ambassador Suite. The 2 bedroom... More

After 'baching it' in St Arnaud we were ready for some of the nicer refinements and touches of city accommodation. Certainly no disappointments here. Helpful, friendly and informative welcome at reception. The room was clean, comfortable and with all needed mod cons. Well located, we were able to walk to inner city cafes and bars and then wander back to... More

I say "surprisingly" because in the US, the term Motor Lodge often indicates bare bones (dare I say sketchy) accommodations, and Century Park was neither. The Lodge is conveniently located, and our room was lovely with a great little kitchen and bathroom, and a well-designed bedroom. There was also a lovely little patio that we didn't have enough time to... More

Spent two nights here in December, mainly to visit Abel Tasman. The lodge is very clean and reasonably priced. The owners were kind and helpful in our few interactions. The location is ok in that its within walking distance to the downtown area, but its not the most appealing surroundings as its on a main street lined with car dealerships.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Century Park Motor Lodge for two nights whilst in Nelson last week. Our room was immaculately clean and very modern. It had everything we needed. To top it off, the service we received from Jan and her husband whilst there was the best we received during our 3 weeks travelling around New Zealand.... More

We arrived mid-morning after 2 days of travel from the US, and the owner was happy to give us an early check-in. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet even though the hotel is located on a busy street. The location is a very easy walk to the city center for restaurants and shopping. Ross,... More

Arrived well before check in time after a short transit and close to zero sleep and the extremely friendly front desk was happy to prioritise the cleaning of the room we had been assigned and gave us vouchers for free drinks at a nearby cafe. True to his word the room was ready within the hour for which we were... More

Have to say we had a great stay in Nelson overnight. Weather was great and it was lovely to have a very clean and tastefully decorated studio apartment. The bed was very comfortable. Jan and Co were very helpful and very pleasant. We will be going back.

The owners are incredibly accommodating and it shows that they truly care about their guests. Walking distance to city centre, so you can fully enjoy everything the area has to offer, including the excellent pubs! The facility is updated across the board and appointed with good taste. Add the owners hospitality and it equals a great stay. Finally, my mom... More
