Highly recommend the Oamaru Creek Bed and Breakfast. We had a lovely night there last week and a very yummy breakfast the following morning, and yes, the coffee is very good!. Jay and Austen are great hosts.

Oamaru Creek B&B is charming and the hosts, Jay and Austen are incredibly welcoming and personable. We stayed two nights with our 7 month old and our hosts went out of their way to make our stay easy. Top notch food, open fires, great conversation, cuppas and coffee (with kick!). I wish we didn't have to leave - such a... More

Stayed one night in January of 2014, passing through to catch a flight out of Christchurch the next day. What can I say? The house is quite charming, but there were cobwebs on the windows, the bathroom sink was barely large enough to wash my hands, and I was given a piece of old, used soap. I've been to NZ... More

This was our first visit to a B&B...from Dunedin to Oamaru all we saw were no vacancy signs. We stopped at an Oamaru motel and the manager there called Oamaru Creek B&B...a room was available and we told them we would take the room...I am so glad we did!!! Jay and Austen were fantastic from the start at making us... More

The room, the hosts and the food were amazing. Go out of your way to stop here you will not be disappointed. We were glad we had two days here and were happy to travel back to Dunedin or just down the coast to the boulders. Go penguin watching, it is worth the effort but maybe take a top to... More

This is a lovely old building that started life as a manse. It is very much like staying in the home of your hosts, Austin and Jay, but you still feel that you are a valued guest. Austin and Jay are welcoming, interesting and ready to make you a cup of tea at the drop of a hat - and... More

I've stayed here several times over the last few years, and always absolutely love it. Jay and Austen have really dialed in something great with this place. The house is amazing, and the beds are super comfortable. The garden is a fantastic place to relax with a coffee (Austen makes great coffee!) or a beer. The food is great too... More

Beautiful large historic house, thoughtfully decorated & surrounded by nice garden. We had an upstairs room that was spacious & charming with modern refurbished ensuite bathroom. The bed was a little on the soft side for our liking but the delicious coffee in the morning made up for it. Lovely hosts that even gave us the unique opportunity to join... More

I loved staying here. I want to move in forever! The bedding was extremely comfortable and the big bath in our bedroom was amazing! Jay was very friendly on arrival and made me a pot of tea and homemade biscuit. I enjoyed sitting on their deck looking over the garden in the sunshine. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! Certainly... More

We stayed one night, and fell in love with the place as soon as we walked in the door. Jay and Austen have done a remarkable job with both the building and the garden, creating a warm welcoming place that is like stepping into the home you have been away from for a long time. The food, company, conversations and... More
