Unbeknown to us we arrived in Oamaru in a peak week due to a week long historic fair. So everywhere was booked out....a motel put us onto this B&B as the only place that might still have a room. We got one of the last two rooms. Clean and comfortable, but the young man who received us was not a... More

the view was good, when your bedroom facing the ocean and hearing the waves. very near to the Waterfront Rd where penguins were easy to encounter after 11pm. breakfast was fine, and fruits and snacks in the living room were sweet

The outer decor of Anne Mieke may be simple with a neat garden and a rather shabby signboard but step inside and u will find a warm cosy setting. For a family if 4, our room came with a king and 2 singles, a sink, and cupboard. not much space but good enough for just a night stay especially since... More

My wife and I were recently searching for B&Bs in Oamaru late one Saturday afternoon and thankfully we chose Anne Mieke first. We were met with a very colourful and tidy garden and smile from the owner's son. After having been given the tour we chose a double room with a very large glass window which looks out onto the... This is a lovely B&B in the quaint town of Oamaru. The hosts and staff are really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a family room with en suite bathroom that was clean, comfortable and at a great price. Guests who need to do cooking and laundry are better off in a regular motel. This place is more suitable for... More

I stayed at this guest house for a few days away recently. It is a family business, run by a retired NZ Army officer and his family. The guest house is located at the south end of Oamaru within walking distance of the CBD and historic whitestone buildings. It overlooks the harbour, making for a spectacular view in the mornings.... This is a basic, clean, good value bed and breakfast. The room was large. Shared bathroom and toilet so first one up in the morning gets the dry floor. A nice touch - there was a bath robe in our room for use getting back and forth to the shower. Breakfast consisted of juice, cereals, tea/coffee and toast. Nothing cooked.... More

Nice and familial accommodation. The hosts are very friendly. Some rooms have a private bathroom. Beautiful view over the harbor of Oamaru and the sea. Car parking in the street. Close to the Towncenter, Harbor and the penguins colony. All takes between ten and fifteen minutes by foot. Restaurants are also close.
