This simple red bricks motel has basic no frills rooms from NZD85. It is located in Mangere, certainly not the most wealthy Auckland’s suburb. I have been staying there 9 times overnighting between 2 South Pacific flights and always found a clean room though I would not walk bare foot on the ageing carpet. Check-in is getting difficult as management... more

booked in for 2 days but could not seep the whole night as feeling of soemthing crawling & causing itching on my body & same for my son. Got out at 6AM after first night & opted out of second. Did not even have the complinmentary breakfast. The bed was infested with feas (not bed bugs) which are very small... more

I came to the airport garden inn hotel just for two nights as i live in the city and wanted something close to south side for the conference that i was going to and something relatively cheap. For a 3 star hotel i found it very clean and well worth what i paid for it. The staff from the front... more

We wanted a cheap airport hotel after landing at midnight. This was an awful and run down facility the reception, rooms and restaurant smelled of damp and mildew. I could barely sleep but it was too late and we were too tired to protest. You can do much better. We enjoyed Airport Manor Inn, just down the road. more

Basically you get what you pay for. We stayed here because it was near the airport and had a free shuttle to the airport. We had a flight very early in the morning and didn’t want to drive all the way from our house. Anyway it was scary the sheets were dirty had blood stains on it and the staff... more

I chose this hotel because of its location (I wanted to be near the airport, but on the south side for my meetings) and its price, and was not disappointed with either. I believe it was once a motel that converted to a hotel, this because of the glass sliding door from the room to the car park. It's true,... more

Sure it was cheap but it was clean. You get what yo pay for. If you want somewhere cheap to put down yoru head to catch a plane in the morning this is fine. I stayed with my teenage daughter who is a little fussy and she was alright about it. Would stay again for a quick get away. more

Only good thing was friendly shuttle bus driver. Room was very dirty as in stained sheets & bedding, couldn't sleep as too afraid of what I could catch from the bedding. Didn't even lay out clothes on sofa as that too was stained. Definitely did not walk on carpet or bathroom floor without shoes! Restaurant service like something from Fawlty... more

After arriving at Auckland airport, we tried to find the promised shuttle bus that was supposed to be included in the booking. Gave up and caught a taxi to this place instead. First rip off after arriving in NZ - the cab driver charged me $50 for a 10 minute trip. This place is not really a hotel at all,... more

This is by a long long way the worst hotel I have ever stayed at - anywhere! The reception staff were surly and unhelpful,, the carpets stained, and the room in shocking condition. In-room carpets and furniture were sticky with dirt, the bathroom was grubby, and a wall light was dangling from its flex, in a dangerous condition. The 'mini-bar'... more
