This was a terrible choice for a last overnight stay in Auckland. The reception staff bordered on the surly, the rooms were grubby and the light above the bed was falling out of the wall - a clear safety risk. Stayed at this Hotel in Jan 2007 for one night. Check in staff appeared not to know what to do, how to check in guests (took forever). Rooms dirty, tired and in major need of renovation. Spend extra and stay elsewhere. Only good thing is free shuttle to airport more

This place is dark, dingy and dated. Almost felt dirty but I think its just worn out. It is ok for a stay either side of a flight but nothing more. The photos make it look better than what it is. A hotel totally lacking in anything but bare necessity. Bored staff seeing the time out, indifferent food - don't send anything back, it makes no difference, and clearly in need of refurbishment. Rooms basic, dim and badly scarred from previous occupants. Wake-up call worked fine and were we glad to get to the airport! more

This hotel is near the airport and has an efficient shuttle service. That is the positive part. On the flip side, the hotel is shabby and dated. The rooms were freezing (in August).
