I would never stay in this motel again. In fact, I was scared to sleep in the bed. It was also cold and I couldn't find a thermostat to turn on any heat. Luckily, I was only there for a few hours. The only thing positive I can say is it is close to the airport. more

We recently travelled the North island using the Golden Chain Motel voucher system (that is the subject of another review) and selected the Oakwood Manor because of it's close proximity to the Airport. Room was very musty and very outdated. Bed was very soft and uncomfortable.Couldn't have dinner as there was a bus and no room for anyone else.Just as well we had a car because there are no cafes in walking distance. Shuttle to airport well organised more

I booked the room through internet. The suttle picked me up in 10' of arrival of arrived in Auckland airport at midnight. The driver was helpful. The room decor is a bit simple, but it is fine for me as one night stay only. more
