Warmly greeted we were shown to our room. Very quaint. The house exudes a homely touch as we were invited to help ourselves to free drinks & settled in to relax in the lounge room. Our room was ample, the bed very comfy, the ensuite was clean with an inviting bath. The breakfast was more than enough. The owner is... More

My wife and I spent just one night at the Lorelei in late April - we were deeply impressed by the quiet and professional way in which Roger handles the place on his own. It's a beautiful old house with lots of atmosphere, only enhanced by the quality of the service and attention to detail. Rooms are great and bathrooms... More

We stayed in Portland for three nights and booked at the Lorelei B&B after its great reviews. Well, they were spot on. We were warmly greeted by Roger and shown to our room, Room 1, complete with 4 poster bed. Free beer and wine and cheese and biscuits were a great touch. Free Wi-Fi was also available. Breakfast was served... More

No idea why, but we quite often stay in motels or hotels. After staying here for a night I pledge we'll go to B&B's more often. The only hope is the other will meet the standard set by the Lorelei. A great host welcomed us and showed us our beautiful room in this great old villa. Everything was just perfect,... More

I recently stayed 1 night at Lorelei B&B whilst on a business trip to Portland. I will definitely stay there again if I return to Portland. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and comfortable with everything you could want. Roger is a terrific host and makes you feel very welcome. It's the little extras that set this place apart... We were driving from Adelaide to Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road and decided to stop in Portland for the first night. Being a fairly small town, I didn't know what to expect in terms of accommodations, but the Lorelai B&B surpassed all expectations. We arrived cold, wet and tired, and as soon as we walked in we were immediately... More

We were welcomed on our arrival by Roger, owner of Lorelei B&B. Immediately we knew that our stay was going to be great. Can't beat hospitality, cheese, biscuits, wine, beer, sherry or wide choice of hot beverages was waiting for us on our return from our walk. Clean, comfortable & wide choice of breakfast selection. Roger's 4 children are a... More

Roger, the owner, has gone to a great deal of trouble to ensure that the visitors have everything they need. We loved it. The accommodation was roomy, the bathroom modern, complete with shampoo and shower gel/soap etc. The bed extremely comfortable. Usually that's where B&B's end, but not this one. Roger puts out delicious cheese and biscuits, plus wine, beer... More

Very quiet location and helpful, friendly owners. Pleasant rooms with every amenity. Lovely breakfast, with cooked options available as extras. Would definitely recommend, and would be happy to stay here again.

Located in a quiet area just few steps from Portland shops and restaurants, the B&B is old-style but really nice and clean. The man is extremely nice and free drinks (soft, wine and beers) are provided to customer. A nice resting room is present and the garden is very nice with lots of flowers
