We have stayed at this property before severa; times a year and granted we accepted the dated tacky decor as we had always until yesterday received a level of service. Yesterday we pulled up to the so called valet parking to unload our own bags and had we not sought someone out to park our vehicle park our own car!!... more

The rooms were quiet and cozy, the bed was very comfortable. We had a beautiful view of Sandy Bay. The furniture looked outdated. The staff was very helpful and cordial. You can book tours and activities with the concierge. The hotel doesn't offer free internet access but you can either buy a card ($5 for 30 minutes) to access the... more

The rooms are quiet dated and so is a lot of the decor. The view would be good from the higher levels - but from lower levels the "harbour view" is more of a "carpark and concrete roof view" with harbour glimpses in the background. Also don't be mislead by the claims by the restaurants are "open late" - even... more

Wrest Point Tower was everything we expected, comfortable, well serviced with excellent helpful and genuinely friendly staff. It was good value for money and I would recommend it to others. The concierge and room staff stood out in our experience as being near the top of anyone's expectations. They made a huge difference to the enjoyment of the stay and... more

The room was clean and comfortable but slight smell of cigarette smoke. Great water view from our king room. Staff were attentive if not busy. Renovations for the cafe annoying, and the cafe food average. Do not get dressed up as very few people do unless you are eating in the top of the tower. Food at the Loft good... more

Have stayed here a few times and always loved it. Rooms are great value the Executive tower rooms are the best, water or mountain view are just as good. This trip was to see Suzi Quatro in concert and had two girlfriends with me that had not been here before. From the moment we pulled up at front, handed car... more

My husband and I stayed at Wrest Point, in a Harbour view room. We were there for the night and we really liked it. Upon arrival, our car was valet parked and we were checked in promptly. The hotel was apparently full so we were placed on the first level, which was nice, but I would've preferred something higher. Our... more

We stayed at the Wrest point Hotel and Casino for 4 nights at the end of June. The hotel is known for being the first casino in Australia, built in the 1970's. From the moment we stepped inside this hotel to the moment we left all we encountered was exceptional service! The staff were amazing at this place, so friendly... more

We stayed for 3 nights in an executive suite so we could have a separate bedroom for our 3 year old. The suite was roomy and as with the rest of the hotel was a distinct 70's feel to it. The decor is dated...from the shiny muted orange bedspread to the stainglass door into the bathroom however it is clean... more

My partner and i and 10 of my family and friends stayed here for our engagement party which was held at Hotel SoHo in hobart ( great food), as my partner comes from Tasmania. We all stayed for 4 nights some in mountain side rooms and 6 groups in Tower rooms. Our breakfast each morning was included in price which... more
