The hotel looks good on the outside, but inside it looks like it hasn't been changed since the 1980s. Everything is old, and the floor is dirty. My sink had dips of blood in it. With a refurbishment to modernize the place (and some cleaning) it would be fantastic.

We stayed here one night as part of a group - so we had no say in booking the place. Our room was just fine, spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything worked in the bathroom and the room was whisper-quiet and the mattress firm, so got a great night's sleep. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and then for breakfast. Probably... More

We stayed overnight as part of a group. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the service was great. Nothing was too much trouble for the gentleman on reception. Centrally located, and easy to access all facilities. Food was excellent.

Have stayed many times. Consistently good. The staff are pleasant, lovely meal. Beds great. We stayed in a room which had been upgraded a bit. Much better. New aircon, vanity, loo, carpet and bedding. The bathroom's pretty dated, but I don't sleep in it. Had had 2 bad experiences preceding this night! So were needing a good night.

We have stayed several times and each time we have been impressed by the service and comfort. It is close to the highway to WA or Cooper Pedy. We were only a stone throw(bit more than that) from the Arid lands botanical gardens and considering it was close to the highways, we did not have any problems with vehicle noise.

I have stayed at the Standpipe Hotel many times on business trips but this is my first chance to add a review. Most recently I stayed in an Executive Room which was ok but I prefer the upstairs rooms overlooking the golf course. Highlight of this trip was the food I ordered from the restaurant. A delicious rump steak and... More

My husband and I stayed here on our way through to Ceduna. Very nice motel style accommodation - clean, wonderful bedlinen (so soft), spacious and modern. The attached restaurant was very convenient and the staff most pleasant. The only drawback was that the room was so lit up due to the outside lighting. I understand that this is probably for... More

Stayed here two nights as a base for exploring the southern Flinders Ranges. We struggled a bit to find decent accommodation in Port Augusta and this was a little above our usual budget, but it was worth it as the rooms are very nice. Modern, clean, spacious and very comfortable, with a little kitchenette, big shower and complimentary toiletries and... More
