The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location with very clean amenities. We stayed for one night on our way back to Queensland after being on the road for three weeks. The camp kitchen was spotless and well equipped. Certainly the best we have encountered on our travels anywhere in Australia. Turf would enhance the whole camping experience

Stayed here for one night in a powered ensure site and we gad no problem with that. The kitchen area could do with an upgrade and a bit of security would be good. We were confronted by a drunk aboriginal man trying to take our food and almost demanding money and a lift into town. He is lucky someone didn't... More

We stayed here for two separate one-night stays on a trip to Port Lincoln using an en-suite site both times. The site was flat, great for caravans, but as another reviewer has commented, some astro turf around the site would really be helpful, especially with Port Augusta's weather. Shower facilities were excellent. Reception was most friendly & helpful on both... More

We booked in for one night after driving from Coober Pedy. The lady in the office was not at all pleasant or helpful and had as much PR as a snail. The amenities were clean and tidy. The boundary fence resembled that of a POW camp, rusty corrugated iron, chain mesh and barbed wire propped up with lengths of steel... More

We're a UK couple with a fair bit of experience touring in Australia. This park struck us as the poorest value for money we have experienced in Australia. We were touring in a rented motor home and booked just one night which we did not complete. Had to leave due to the noise from drunken occupants of several of the rental... More

The cabin was excellently appointed and clean. Overlooked water, but the high fence topped with barbed wire was a little disconcerting; as was the note with the map stating that "occasionally there is an unwanted intruder in the park". Watching the trains (including The Ghan) go past was really interesting. Walking to the shoreline was good. I am rating the... More

We have stayed at this park twice. The first time we stayed in one of the water front cabins. I have noticed that others who have rated this caravan park were not impressed with the chain fence in front of the cabins or the noisy trains at night (well what do you expect when you are at the cross-roads of... Cleaning and ground staff amazingly helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble and went out of there way to meet our needs. Cabin prices way below those we have experienced along the Eyre highway. Beautiful vista and relaxing enviroment. Thank you very much

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. We are in a tent and loved the astro turf area (for tents only). Showers were lovely and hot and plenty of them. There is one great camp kitchen and several other more basic ones. My only complaint is that a few appliances were broken in kitchen (ie stove and... More

We got a cabin (E12) for $90 with late check in. We were travelling from Yulara so we arrived after 11:00pm and we found the cabin in a disgusting state. To make it short, hair on the pillows, sand and dirt in the bed, smelly bedsheets and pillows, food scrap left on plate and cutlery, floor covered with dust and... More
