located for those heading out or returning from long road trips this is a large well equipped park and is within walking distance of the town centre. the only downside was checking where the three staff on duty were sullen and did not project a professional image for the site. little traffic noise to trouble sleep.

This park is exceptionally well maintained, very busy for travellers going north, or others heading east/west. There are a number of ensuite sites which suit us. However this time we stayed in a drive in/out site, which was a little dusty and close to neighbouring vans. The facilities were spotless and the kitchen area well set up. The park has... More

Bathrooms were very clean. Surprised about how high the fences were with the razor wire on them Some people need to realise that camping means be respectful of other campers, owners were very friendly and happy to have us book at the last minuet.

Good points - camp kitchen was probably one of the best we've seen, 2 areas both with alfresco dining, clean and well equipped. Ensuite shower (powered site) was clean. Washing machines were cheap (only $3) compared to others we've seen. Disappointing points - we were disappointed with the location we were given, considering that we are travelling without kids and... More

We stayed here in January for 4 nights and the kids loved it. Great pool area, TV room is huge, Games room great for older kids. Camp kitchen was so big with 2 cooking areas and 2 big tables to sit at, outside of the camp kitchen are 2 more tables and an undercover BBQ area! The playground was also... More

Having to take our beloved fur baby to Pt Augusta for an operation, it was necessary to find 'pet friendly' accommodation for ourselves and our dog for one night prior to the op. The Shoreline Big 4 Holiday Park appeared to suit our needs and they had accommodation for all budgets. We chose the Superior Waterfront Cabin. Self contained with... More

I did notice when I arrived that the top part of the fences had plenty of barbed wire. Had an unpowered camping site and that night found out why the wire was there. In the early hours of the morning in my tent I was awoken by a group of people on the other side of the fence I believe,... More

We stayed here twice en route and return from our trip. On our 1st stop over we camped on a powered site near the camp kitchen, it is quiet, not much grass, very dusty but great camp kitchen, very clean and very modern. A guy did come around at night and tried to sell us opals which left me a... More

Hi there Thanks for taking the time to review your recent visits to Port Augusta BIG4 Holiday Park. Great to hear that you enjoyed your first stay so much (hopefully you reported the Opal seller to the managers as that is definitely not allowed on site). Well maintained, good facilities & lovely camp kitchen. Definitely stay here over Shoreline. Pool was good too. Not much in Port Augusta itself, but if you need to break p a long day on the road, this is fine.
