After a massive cock up from the guys at Pippies beach house at rainbow beach, we found ourselves homeless and in need of a late night room in Hervey bay. The staff at the colonial village were very helpful in assisting us on the phone and arranged for a key to be left for us so we could check in... More

A cosy place and friendly Staff, but unfirtunately wasnt the room very good. We slept in a double, the floor wasnt clean and the madrass was very thin. The kitchen and bathroom was good, and you can also buy food at the hostel, wich i very good

We stayed here for two nights and it was good. The Staff at the counter was friendly and managed our booking professional. The room was clean and had a fan. A/C would be better, but I won't complain. It was raining so wouldn't need an A/C anyway. The bathrooms were very clean, the shower heads too low for a 180... More

My boyfriend and I spend 5 nights here..we had a private double room which was very basic but also very cheap! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The resort itself was nice and well maintained..though the surrounding area was a bit dull. The food offered in the bistro was good, honest, cheap food and we noticed that... More

Good hostel, and cheap (for the prices you find in Australia). I stayed in a twin room. Two different ones actually, one had good mattresses, but in the other one you could feel that they were very old. No air conditioning in the rooms, but they have fans that do a good job keeping it fresh. The kitchen/diner was kept... More

We stayed here for a couple of days, the room was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable, although we did have to ask for extra bed sheets to cover the mattress which was no problem. The surroundings were very nice and the on site bistro served some nice food. We booked a Fraser Island day trip through the... More

My family stayed for 2 nights in early December 2015 and our experiences were as follow. Pro : 1) Value for money. 2) Bistro served value for money meals. One complimentary drink (soft drink, wine or beer) for ordering each meal, only once Con : 1) Had to pay additional A$20 for third person. My booking confirmation clearly states 3... More

My partner and I spent 2 nights here on either side of an overnight trip to Fraser Island, and it was perfect. We were picked up and dropped off from the Greyhound Bus with no issues, check in was easy, the room was small and pretty spartan, but clean and quiet. $60 in Rockhampton in a YHA gets you a... We stayed here for 2 nights on our travels up the east coast on a budget and we paid 32$ per night for a powered site with Wifi in the communal area. We had access to a kitchen with toaster, kettle, job and sink and hot showers which were clean. The site was covered in bushland with various wildlife wondering... More

Arrived without a booking... No troubles at all. We camped for 3 nights. Facilities are cleaned everyday. Toilets and kitchen good. We had dinner from the Bar in the common room and it was great... $10-$15 well varied meals and $4 desserts - Very decent sized and delicious meals too, for a bargain. Free wifi in common room and pool... More
