We booked in to stay one night at Peppers Hervey Bay as we were attending a function held there on the Saturday night. When we arrived we were greeted by staff who seemed like they would have preferred to be elsewhere. We were handed our key and told it was "down the corridoor". After trekking down a corridoor, out a door, and down another corridoor, we found our room... only to find that our key didn't work. Luckily a cleaner was coming out of one of the other rooms and when we explained our problem she took our key and went to get us a new one, letting us into our room with her own key.

The room was nice, however they had neglected to tell us that they had given us the wheelchair accessible room. The problem with that was that the bathroom had heavy metal rails everywhere, and the shower was just a shower head on the wall with a shower curtain around it. The water nearly flooded the bathroom every time we had a shower. There was also a distinct lack of nice... more
