We stayed at Whalecove with 3 adults, 2 children & 1 infant. We had a 2brm unit which has an extra study with sofa bed, so sleeps 6. I was expecting the sofa bed to be out in the main area so was peasantry surprised that the sofa was in a separate room that could also be closed off. We... More

The apartment complex seemed quite new but the sliding door, for the spare room, didn't close the first night so difficult for our ten year old to sleep while we were awake. I mentioned to management the next day and the response wasn't exactly apologetic. She said she would "try" to get someone over to fix it. A handy man... More

There was an issue with our booking through hotel.com and Whalecove management was very unhelpful and rude with dealing with our query. Luckily hotel.com was more amiable and assisted in solving the issue. We found the accommodation very drab and not located in a nice location, however it is located very close to the 4WD centre we collected our vehicle... More

We stayed at Whale Cove resort for 4 nights. Our apartment was neat and tidy, but the attention to detail wasn't there. The outdoor furniture had marks all over the table from the last people that had stayed there. We cleaned the table ourselves. There was also a lot of hair and dust in the toilet behind the door and... More

It was a clean well planned resort. Staff where helpful. We had a two bedroom every thing was clean and tidy. There was only one air con but but it cool all the rooms done quickly. Would defiantly stay again. The only thing that they could improve on is the path down to the boat club e.g. Some lights on... More

After staying at the resort previously (5 years ago) we were looking foward to staying at the Whale Cove for our family holiday. However it seems that a lot has changed since our last trip there. Firstly upon entering our unit we found that it had not been cleaned from the previous guest, apart from the bed that had been... More

Stayed there for an overnight on the way back to Brisbane. The unit was pretty nice - it was modern, on the ground with an outdoor setting... and there is a mini gym and the pool was good for the kids to burn off steam. If you go through the back gate you can cut across a back field and... More

We stayed for 7 nights, first time up at Hervey Bay and this was a great place to chill with our 3 kids! The pool area is great and the large spa a bonus! It's very close to the marina for day trips to Fraser Island but not on the main drag so nice and quiet without the hustle and... More

Management is terrible. They do not make you feel welcome. The rules feel like your staying in a retirement village. The reception does not give you a happy holiday feeling at all. The resort is fabulous but would be better if the service made you feel like you where entering a holiday resort not an old persons home. Kids loved... More
