On our way to visit Fraser Island we decided to spend a couple of nights in Hervey Bay. Hervey bay itself is a quiet spot however is ideal as a launch pad for Fraser Island. We were a bit peeved to miss the whale watching because we were a month too early. Was'nt to be. When looking up the net... more

The complex and the apartments in particular were very clean, spacious and modern with comfort being of the highest degree. Staff were very helpful in providing advice about and booking our day trip to Lady Elliott Island. Would recommend a stay at Akama to anyone. more

We stayed at Akama before Xmas and were very impressed with both the quality of the apartments and the overall postion and friendlyness of staff. The apartments are very modern and the furniture and equipment is very new and modern. It actually meets its 5-star rating! The position is also great as it made it very easy to head down... more

We have just returned from a great time in Hervey Bay staying at the very new Akama Resort which is situated down the Boat Harbour end at Urangan. The rooms are beautiful and the appointments superb.
