I booked a $55 cabin, just overnighting solo. Didn't need much. On checking in I was told the $55 cabins didn't have A /C. It was a 42 degree day, do I asked what would get me refrigerated a/c. The $55 jumped to $95. On driving into the park the $55 cabins had A/C..... They were smaller to boot so... More

Every September we drive from Melbourne to the Gold Coast, with a one night stopover on the way. We've stayed at Gilgandra, Coonabarrabran and now Narrabri. Anywhere you stay along the Newell is reasonably noisy, as those truckers never seem to sleep, and this isn't much different so I've marked it average for noise. We didn't hear anything from other... We were a bit skeptical when we first saw the caravan site offerings; however, first impressions were wrong. We have a long caravan, yet we were able to negotiate the park roads and set up on a site without much effort. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Althought the park is on the main road, it was relatively quite... More

This was the most horrid place I have EVER stayed in (mind you I have stayed in horrid places in 3rd world countries and this place is an embarrassment to Australia). We paid $100 which would have been better donated to a charity and us sleeping over night in the comfort of our car. We stayed in a cabin opposite... More

we stayed in a cabin and it was worm, comfy and clean. we stayed here because our car broke down and we were stuck but the owners were very helpful and kind. I would recommend the cabins as they are off the highway and have all the mod cons and they are clean and nice.

Small establishment. We had a powered camp site - cost $30 double. There's nothing about the place that would encourage a longer stay. The powered sites are at the back of the property with the cabins which seemed to be occupied long term by road workers and others working away from home. That's not a problem as they had their... We stayed here on the second night of our move from Melbourne to Townsville, stayed in a family suite $115 a night. We were on the first floor overlooking the Newell Hwy and the noise from the trucks was something to behold, the whole balcony and floor were shaking! The room itself had a separate bedroom with a queen bed,... More
