I stayed here with my two friends. We had the room on the sea front (10) which offered stunning views out to sea. The proprietor owns two tiny griffon dogs and they all offered a warm welcome. A small bottle of fresh milk was provided and we were able to park next to our accommodation. My friends had the double... More

Great location. Rooms were nice a spacious, but it could do with more couches, as a room for up to 5 people only had a couch for 2-3 people. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the motel us nice and close to town

Note that I only give a place a 4 or 5 if it's exceptional - I still recommend a stay here. Cozy 2 bedroom for a young family of 4. 5min walk to town. Sounds of the beach (and a view) and away from the traffic noise that a lot of other Kaikoura motels have. Loved it with a old... More

We arrived unbooked & grabbed the 2nd last available unit. Meredith, who greeted us was an absolute bubbly pleasure to meet. The unit was large, quiet & well equipped. Will we stay here again??? Hell yes, we will be very disappointed if when we next stay in Kaikoura we can't stay here. Thank You Meredith

We booked this hotel via Tourist Information Office of kaikoura when we did our Whale Watching cruise. We only stayed for one night in a two bedrooms unit. Clean and comfortable bedding. It was quite cold and we appreciate the heated bed. If you do not have car, it is unlikely convenient as it is not so close to restaurants.... More

We turned up late in the day without a reservation. we got a two bedroom unit... The rooms adjoined with a sliding partition between the two. the beds were very comfortable, and the area very quiet. We got a fabulous recommendation for dinner, and the next morning the owners stopped by to make sure that we knew that a popular... More

The beach was just over the road, so great scenery on your door step. I had a self contained studio unit. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. I have stayed here a few times and have always felt at home. The hosts were great and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a great stay.

Among all the places I booked for our trip to New Zealand, this was the worst. Booked a 2 Bedroom, very tired looking, beds were not firm. The best part we were only here for one night (thank God). One of the things we signed up for was to swim with the dolphins (fabulous). And it helped that this was... More

Just across the road from the Norfolk Pine Motel is the ocean .... it's a magic spot for the kids to play , or to just sit with a coffee in quiet contemplation . The motel rooms are simply designed and tidy . Full cooking facilities are provided , handy to knock up your own breakfast . You don't get... More
