Welcoming management, very easy book-in. Clean, well equipped, and spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Excellent wifi facility. Would highly recommend this establishment. Convenient car parking. Close to town centre without being noisy.

Location of this motel is very good. The rooms have plenty of space and have everything you need. The most positive point is the fact that they offer free unlimited internet with one password for all devices. The most negative point is that the rooms could be more clean, especially the bathroom. This was the first motel which could have... More

We booked 2 units with 3 pax each. The rooms were spacious and clean. we could park our vehicle right at our doorstep. There was even a jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom. The wifi was complimentary with no restrictions. The motel is also just a short walk away from the Main Street. The owner is also quite considerate as he... More

Reasonably priced and well located, plus very clean with loads of space. If you are doing any swimming activities this place is highly recommended as nothing cures those chills like a soak in the huge spa bath!

We just spent two weeks driving around the South Island of New Zealand staying at a different location each night. The Kaikoura Gateway Motor Lodge was by far our best place hotel stay. The rooms were clean and modern. We had a great apt with bedroom, excellent kitchen and bath. WiFi was fast and free with unlimited devices and data.... More

The views from the room were incredible as we were able to see the ocean and the mountains still with snow at the top, and the place was perfect located as we had to be on the whale watch tour at 7.15am. Rooms were big and confortable with a balcony and a huge massaging bathtube in the bathroom. They were... More

We had one night 'getaway' here in a ground floor two bedroom apartment with a kitchenette and good sized lounge room. There was an outdoor sitting area at the front of the room too, which looked out to the snowcapped mountains. A queen bed in one room and two singles in the other. Electric blankets on the beds which were... More

Stayed here on a pass through in kaikoura for 2 nights. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and had great facilities. Nice added tough was the jet bath. The owner was welcoming and very friendly. We all slept well and the beds were pretty comfy. Could do with a bigger TV though. Nice to have a decent... More

The two bedrooms apartment is spacious! A big sitting room and bathroom. Location is close to city centre, very convenience. Swimming pool is quite small instead! Although our apartment is quite close to the road, but still quite quiet. Staff is very helpful too.

Very pleased with the welcome we received and the room when we entered. Very good size and level of equipment with the kitchenette being an unexpected bonus. The family enjoyed the spa bath and passed a restful night in the comfortable and clean beds. Would recommend to anyone staying in Kaikoura for one night or one week.
