Very friendly staff who offered us some dvds to watch for the night, cute cottages, very modern, awesome bed, sofa and heater! Would stay again, well priced, a little way from town, but that wasn't a problem. Thanks!

We stayed for 3 nights and the cottage had everything we needed. We had a 5 year old along who was engaged in the evenings with the cartoons available via reception. We intentionally stayed away from the main hub but this is not that far. The trampoline on-site was also put to use by our younger one. Recommend to anyone... More

What a great motel - it is great to have your private space with no adjoining walls. It was quiet, and the views to the mountains capped in snow were amazing. We noticed that the gardens were very well cared for, and each cottage had its own garden area. The cottage was spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. The... More

An absolutely perfect place to stay in Kaikoura. I wouldn't ever look for anywhere else. I have never before experienced such a clean, comfortable motel. The previous night, we had stayed in a hotel, which we paid a lot more for, and there was absolutely no doubt that this motel was superior. Great job! :)

Stayed 2 nights with my young family. This place really suited us.with our 3 year old and newborn the cottage space was perfect. The lady running the business was very friendly and welcoming. Mountain views amazing. I read another review about road noise. I cant say i noticed that at all.found the property to be very peaceful

Lovely welcome, excellent self catering facility, spotless, quiet, magnificent montain views and cost NZ$130. Supermarket three minutes drive away. You could go past, but do not. Best value we have had in New Zealand.

I've just graduated from an intensive travel and tourism course where we visited numerous hotel sites.. Kaikoura Cottage Motels have nailed a home away from home experience in my view. From the time we arrived we felt welcomed and all our needs were given attention, despite the late evening arrival. Waking up to the picturesque view of the mountain was... More

We stayed here for a few nights in early October. Great location, spectacular views, clean, tidy and relaxing. Daryl was extremely welcoming and helpful, with some great recommendations of places to eat and movies to watch! Amazing.

We stayed here for two nights and were really surprised to get so much space (two bed rooms and a little living room) for 120/150 NZD. Also the quality was great and the owner very friendly and helpful. The view from outside the door right onto the high and snow covered mountains in the morning was just amazing!

Just have been here for one night but this has been the best stay in whole NZ for us... They do have the best rooms for sure and the owner was extraordinary kind and nice. Beeing close to the center of Kaikoura also a shopping center and the sights are just 3 minutes away
