What a delightful place! From the first moment we entered this100-year old convent, we were mesmerized. A gorgeous building, steeped in history and charm, almost as charming as the owners. This charming building is located a short drive from the main part of Kaikoura. We arrived without a booking and were lucky enough to be allocated "The Peoples" room, a massive room that has spectacular views of the Alps. The bed was huge and wonderfully comfortable. I stayed at the Old Convent recently and just wished there was a great place like this in every town. What a beautiful building kept in lovely condition, I just felt so at home here, it is so peaceful and I had one of my best sleeps on a really comfortable bed. Fantastic find - booked through Trailfinders on our honeymoon trip and arrived in October. Warm welcome and beautiful room and surroundings.
