This is the best value accommodation we have found in a long time for a family escape. The welcome at the front desk was lovely and they helpfully provided us some local information. We could easily see that the units were worn around the edges and a bit dated, but when you have 3 young kids that's ok (and we... More

I honestly cant imagine anyone leaving a bad review for this place. The owners are super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. Spacious rooms, great shower pressure, heated sheets and also very good heater to heat the whole room. Coffee, tea, dishes, everything a person needs and more. Great price for what you get we thought. Would stay again... More

The room was freezing. Their was only a 3bar electric heater in the room and a very small fan heater in the bathroom which was on a timer. I had to have a shower to warm up but by the time I got dressed I was cold again. The windows arnt double glazed so it was very noisy as it... More

Thank you for your feedback. As this is a studio unit, we don't put a big heater as it may get too stuffy in the room. The bathroom heater is a standard bathroom heater and it is not on timer. Probably the heater switch on the wall that is connected to the heater may not have turn on. I do... More

A great unit. Spacious, spotless and comfortable. In a good location for those arriving from the north. A wonderful host who went out of her way to arrange the meal at a restaurant that we wanted.Good heating and great electric blankets. We would happily stay there again.

Very friendly welcome from the manager, handy location for local supermarket. Comfortable studio unit with everything we needed for our short stay. Manager gave us good advice for local activities. We did the peninsular walk visitng Fyffe house on the way which is well worth a stop.

We stayed in a two bedroom room recently and will never stay again. The beds were terrible, super thin walls and a floor that feels like it will collapse when anyone walks. There was a good little kitchenette which was really handy and the shower pressure was good. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very tidy. However,... More

Clean rooms, great location with nice view of the mountains, friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating. Got my check-out date mixed up and they made no big fuss, which I was glad about since I was way past check-out time. Will definitely recommend when possible.

lovely, comfy room and very friendly and welcoming hosts who not only looked after us, but also were happy to accommodate and keep an eye on the security of our trailer. Comfy and stylish room. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely staff, room tidy and comfortable but a bit of dust around and a few insects both live and dead. Slightly cold and definitely needed to find the heater to warm up the room. Otherwise pleasant and enjoyable. Good value for price.

We were received by a Chinese staff, it's very nice to see a compatriot in NZ. She's very kind and offered many important info for us, we are very appreciated for this! The motel is almost 2 KM away from Kaikoura town centre, very convenient!
