I've visited Kaikoura twice, and both times I stayed at this hostel. Situated on the hill just above town, it'll take you 2 or 3 minutes to walk to the i-site, 4 Square, shops or buses. The views from the dining area and deck are superb. You can relax in the hot tub with a lovely view of the snow... More

This was my favourite hostel from my 5 week stay in NZ. It's a great place to stay if you want somewhere quiet to relax and unwind. I stayed 3 nights and this hostel appeared to attract an older demographic, most guests were aged 30+ when I stayed there. It was also super clean - the kitchen didn't have any... More

I cannot give this hostel enough praise! Perfect in all aspects. If you want to feel like part of a family of like minded people travelling and sharing stories and interests this place is great! Helen is lovely and makes this place feel so cosy and comfortable. Thank you for a truly amazing stay in the beautiful Kaikoura :)

Double room was small and dated but overall the hostel catered for our needs well. Bit of a strange set up having to walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom. Bed was comfy and only a short stroll into town. Not bad but not great.

This hostel is located at the top of a hill and has great views. There is a path that leads right from the outside of the hostel down to town, which is convenient and easy. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. We were there in October and the... More

This hostel was in a complete other league to the likes of BASE and other major hostels as it was quiet and felt very homely. We had a double room and were very happy with the size and the bed was very comfy. Only stayed for the one night but would happily stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

It actually has everything you need - good location, private parking, comfortable beds (we stayed in private room), wifi, well equiped kitchen and friendly staff. It can get a bit crowded, since it is quite popular, but you'll be probably outside most of the time :)

This is one of the nicest places I've stayed in NZ. Beautiful views from the property, great central location, nice owner, hot spa pool in lovely garden, comfy beds, clean all around. I wish i had more time in there.

Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well-equiped, spa outside is nice. Good place! No unlimited wifi and no TV, but is it really a problem ? It's easier to meet people like this, I think. And that's right, atmosphere encourages us to reach out to others.

Homely and warm backpackers, with amazing sea & mountains view. Comfortable shared rooms, well equipped kitchen, nice deck and garden with amazing view and even hot water comfortable Jacuzzi under the sky!!! The showers are a little but old, but everything is very clean and well maintained. tow minutes walk from i-site and main road but still quite and relaxing.... More
