Probably the best thing about Greymouth! We just stayed one night on our way South. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Helpful, friendly owner. Very convenient for stopover yet not much traffic noise. We didn't find much else of interest in Greymouth.

We stayed one night on our travels through the South Island. We had a great stay here. Room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. The owner was just replacing a lot of the mattresses in the other rooms when we were leaving. Owner was friendly and gave good recommendations on places to visit.

Exceptionally friendly! Tui's recommendations for sight-seeing were extremely helpful, as this was our first visit to New Zealand. I left a bracelet in the room, called the motel and Ian sent it off that day to our next destination! Couldn't ask for more, very happy with The Gables.
