For me this was just one more dumpy motel in a long line of dumpy motels. What was unusual was the the free wifi that quit being free after 2 hours. You got a little piece of printer paper from the reception lady with a user name and password that you put in to your device. It lasted 2 hours... More

The hotel makes a good first impression but the room was in need of an update. It was a good size and quiet despite being located at the front of the hotel on the main road. The beach was only a short walk away and my boys enjoyed the pool. The smell from the bathroom was unpleasant, even when the... More

Although our 2 room appartment appeared clean, it was seriously dated. The heater on the wall had no dials and was posiitivly dead, the spare heaters had sticky tape holding the plugs together, the cords on the heaters were so short reletive to where the sockets were placed you had to litrally sit the heater up against the bed (... Superior Room Double was very clean, plastic bags on the extra pillows, plastic bags on the drinking glasses. Linen was very soft, beds were comfortable. Off street parking. Upstairs overlooking the car park and the cemetery, very quiet. The pool looked inviting. The staff were very helpful, in particular the young man who offered to carry our suitcases up the... More

we stayed for one night - it was Easter Sunday... We were very warmly greeted and our room was fine - it had all we needed and the complimentary wifi was great. The receptionist told us there was a nice walk along by the sea, which we did and it was lovely. We couldn't find the town, despite walking for... More

Would not recommend this hotel, from the moment we walked in the lady was quite rude, she gave us a blank look as to why we wanted the wifi password and gave us very poor directions to our room, the room it self is ok, the main issue I had is that I stayed on a Sunday night and got... More

My partner and i stayed here for 1 night on our trip around the south island. We had some issues with the dates of our accommodation and the staff at the front desk were more than helpful with sorting out our issue. The room itself was more than expected for what was paid for. Only down fall was the price... More

This is a small motel style place. The staff was nice. The rooms are on the small side. There is no AC, so if you are hot, leave the windows open. They say the mosquitos will come in, but they didn't. There was a nice candy treat for you in your room when you arrive. It is pretty far out... More

This is a simple motel/hotel and the room is small but it was designed a bit like the cabin on a ship so it is well planned. There is a tiny bath, clean carpet, TWO surfaces for luggage (why do most places assume there is only one suitcase for a couple?). However, they want you to re-use your towels, a... More

The motel is next to a busy road and a railway line. It feels like staying in an unsafe car park. My room looked out at a brick wall on the other side of a parking space. Each room has its own door and another member of the group heard someone trying the doors in the night. I would never... More

Dear Poole11, Thank you for your feedback. Whilst a railway line is nearby, trains use a maximum of once per day, more often every two days. We have never had an issue with security at our hotel in the motel complex and will investigate into anyone trying doors and review security footage for any suspicious behavior. We do suggest our...
