Stayed 3 nights here whilst fishing in the area and found it to be the perfect spot for my requirements. A homely sitting room to read in and a laid back approach which added to the calm of the place. But there is always one....loud mouth, opinionated Gob who nearly made me check out ! You know who you are... More

The YHA seemed the best thing about the whole town really. The reception ladt was very helpful and directed us to the brewery for a few drinks. Things were quiet whixh was fantastic for us. We were the only ones cooking at 7.30pm! The lounge area was super comfy and thw whole place was spotless.

This Youth Hostel is not as big or fancy as the Wellington YHA, the kitchen was not as well-stocked, there were not as many other guests to meet, etc. But the staff people were friendly, lots of things could be recycled or composted, the location was fairly handy, and the price was right. The building is a wonderful old house... More

This hostel was a nice surprise in the middle of the ghost town of Greymouth. It was clean, comfortable and spacious with the 10 bed dorm possibly the best big dorm I've been in (an old Chapel!). If you're staying in Greymouth then stay here.

Stayed here for one night as a big group - it was great, the receptionist ladies were very helpful, gave us a room for ourselves and the stay was overall very pleasant. Although a hostel, great budget accommodation for all age groups!

I stayed here for one night. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were quite cold but clean. The room had a desk area and the beds were very comfortable. The living room has a lovely fire and seating area and felt very homely. The hostel is located on the outskirts of the town so... More

Stayed for one night, there is limited parking out the front and some limited parking out the back (very tight squeeze if you are brave). Hostel is full of stairs, so be mindful of that when you are bringing your luggage in, you might need to do a few trips. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful, helped us book a... More

Stayed here for night. Shared bathrooms were clean, 4 bed dorms were basic but fine, very comfortable beds. Kitchen area was good. Common room / tv room was comfortable, overall a good stay. Hostel is located about 7 minutes walk from the train station & shops.

Great place to stay, cool vibes, more like a home than a hostel. really nice communal area. Was it clean you ask? it was so clean it makes clean things look not as clean. The receptionist was delightful. She handled my tourist banter with grace and poise.

Awesome hostel. Great homey feel, clean kitchen and bathrooms, bedrooms were cute and cozy with magnificent views overlooking the town and ocean. Awesome location and very helpful staff! A great valued place to spend the night (or a few) while passing through Greymouth!
