At the end of a lane almost a mile long and on top a very high hill we arrive at the Ara Roa guest house. We are speechless. Wonderful place to stay just outside of Whangarei, with amazing views and a modern comfortable feel, fully equipped with everything you could wish for, and a fabulous spa bath with a balcony view of native bush. Very friendly hosts, easy to deal with via email for bookings. There aren't enough superlatives, just go!

“A unique experience”

I am a kiwi who has travelled all over the world staying in some fabulous accommodation. Ara Roa is a truly unique experience. We loved it and I highly recommend it.
