This was an excellent B&B just south of Thames on a hill overlooking the river and the mountains. Set in a beautiful garden with great views from the Terrace. Tea and scones on arrival were brilliant and the home made scones with home made lemon curd were to die for. Lovely quiet bedrooms and a great breakfast. Garth and Adrienne... More

This place may divide opinions. The BB is close to Thames but still a bit isolated and I had difficulties with finding it (and driving there via the steep hill and a turn). Even if you like a bit of piece and quiet, you may get too much of it here. The rooms are rather small and basic although do... More

I am a little perplexed. We have no record anywhere of a John O from Southampton staying here this year. I do know the name though, because at about this time last year a similar review was posted by the same person, relating to a stay he had here back in 2012 or 13. The review was not very pleasant,... We stayed two nights, looking for a half way point between the east and the west side of the peninsula. The location was perfect. Garth and Adrienne were perfect hosts. The breakfast provided was excellent. The rooms however, were very sparce and basic though, the room was small with absolutely no storage. the bathroom although clean was small and again... More

Cotswold cottage is a great place to experience Coramandel region. The B & B experience was one of the highlight of the trip. The host's were gracious, friendly and helpful. They were great tour guides. Just land there they can plan your itinerary. Rooms were fantastic, well kept, plush bathrooms. Breakfast is adequate.

Cotswold Cottage is in a lovely setting outside Thames with views over the the racecourse to the surrounding hills. The rooms are a good size and very nicely furnished. Our hosts were lovely, leaving you in peace but very attentive when you needed them. The scones on arrival were delicious and the breakfast was also excellent. Overall everything was just... More

We spent one night at Cotswold Cottage before doing the Hauraki Rail Trail. Our hosts Garth and Adrienne were wonderful ... welcoming, hospitable, and charming. They went completely beyond the call of duty for us when our car broke down short of Thames and Garth came to pick us up. We were very grateful for this extra kindness! Scones and... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights while exploring the Coromandle. All the good comments from others are true. The place is wonderful and the hosts are great. Only wish we could have taken Garth with us on the rest of our trip. He has more information than the I Sites. Interesting driveway though...

We spent two very relaxing nights at Cotswold Cottage, Thames. It is lovely villa set in beautiful peaceful surroundings and is ideal if you're wanting to stay in Thames or heading to the Coromandel Peninsula. Adrienne and Garth are truly wonderful hosts and their attention to detail is amazing. We would love to have stayed longer but work in the... More

From the moment we drove up the driveway we knew that it was going to be a beautiful place to stay. Situated on a hill with breath taking views, the gardens are extremely well maintained and the property just gives you a nice warm feeling. Garth & Arienne Familton were great hosts. This was our first experience at a B&B... More

Friendly hosts with lots of information to share. Good breakfast available. Convenient location for Auckland airport and Coromandel. Home from home feel, the building is an old (for NZ) villa style with lots of original features and a lovely garden to sit in if you wish.
