Picked on spec, this was a find! Warmly welcomed, given the opportunity to look at a couple of units to select the one we preferred, and then being able to gaze out from our deck across the Firth of Thames. Comfortable bed, good facilities, although the bathrooms are in need of an upgrade. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely chalets, especially the top level units near the water. Very airy and bright, well decorated, fully equipped kitchen, very clean and well maintained property. Very friendly and helpful manager. Comfortable bed and good quality linens and towels. Showers are designed for shorter people and everyone must take turns for the water cylinder to reheat, but the only negative we... More

Spent two nights here, and could not fault the chalet or service. Comfy bed, lovely view, free wifi, all clean and quiet. Upstairs is up stairs, but worth the effort! Hosts gave great options for dining and outings.

We three adults recently stayed at this most picturesque motel. The Chalet was lovely and clean and the beds comfortable. Access was easy, no steps. Hosts pleasant. But sadly this Chalet only offers 4 minute showers through a very small water cylinder which goes very cold very suddenly. Only one of us could manage a 3 minute shower being in... More

We rolled in late and tired and we could not have had a more friendly welcome. They even bumped our family up to a larger cottage. Room was very nice and clean and the cooking facilities were very well stocked. The great views, welcoming staff, Wifi and warm rooms were a great find.

We were greeted by a gentlemen who offered to show us the rooms before we decided to stay. I later learned when chatting that this man was looking after the motel for the owners whilst they were away on holiday. The owners should be very grateful that they have such good friends! We felt extremely welcome and comfortable instantly. If... More

The very helpful and pleasant lady at reception told us that they had no 4 star rooms left only the cottages which were older. This was fine with us and we were shown cottage number 1. This little cottage was great , so clean and welcoming. Certainly wasn't dated or old looking. This motel is one of the best we... More

Stopped here on our final night before heading to Auckland Airport.. The chalet style cabins are comfortable, very clean and have everything you need. The grounds are well kept and has parking in front of each chalet.. There is even a car wash area which is thoughtful and very handy, Couldn't fault this in any way and will definitely look... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the cute chalet. It has everything you need and you can have them bring you a good breakfast in the morning. You can hear the waves from the ocean, which I find relaxing. The bed is comfortable and everything is clean. The owners are friendly and can give you good tips and advice of where... More
