This is a charming place to stay in Thames on the Coromandel. It is a shortish drive from Auckland. It has very well arranged accommodation in attractive surroundings. The owners are extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this place. We had a good continental breakfast served in room.

We were met by Albie and given a fantastic welcome, given a grand tour, and organised breakfast for the following morning. The room was very tidy, as was the pool, spa, BBQ, and communal deck area. Great views, especially at sunset, would recommend to anyone, and we will be returning.

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of February 2015. Albi and Rachel are so welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We wanted to stay three nights but because it was Waitangi weekend they could only accommodate us for two. In fact we had to stay in two different rooms but that was no trouble as... More

You need to book your stay here. We spent a month travelling and this was the most welcoming and lovely family we met. The accomodation on offer was perfect, the beds were amazingly comfortable and the hot tub at the end of a long day was just bliss. Having your breakfast delivered was a real plus. There is a supermarket... More

Thames seemed quite flat, except for these cottages, up a hill, giving a wonderful view of the bay. Our chalet had a balcony and table, so that we were able to sit and eat our dinner and breakfast with those views. The chalets were comfortable and well fitted, though perhaps a bit smaller than some we had stayed at. Albie... More

We stayed in the Manuka cottage,4 adults. Amazing day and night view. Definitely our favourite on our trip in North Island. We wished we had planned better to stay more nights (because we only planned to stay one night). Though it was not an easy find (because it is tucked behind a small road entrance, from the moment we got... More

Absolutely wonderful place! Our absolute favourite on our trip around the North Island. Only stayed one night and so wish we had planned better so we could stay more. Just loved it here!! We stayed in the Manuka cottage, two adults and three teenagers. From the moment we got out of the car it was exceptional. The gorgeous Albie (sorry... More

Quirky and hard to find (or was that just us?!) this was a wee treasure. We had a smallish room at the top of the complex with views to die for. Pros: Views, views, views Very comfortable bed Very genuine, genial host Home made biscuits and liqueur Nice, generous (included) breakfast Did I mention the views?? Cons: The room was... More

One of the best B&Bs we've been to. View was amazing, rooms were very nice and to a great standard. We wish we were able to spend more time here. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Very relaxing!!! Would defiantly stay here again! A great escape in the hill side.

this is a quirky little place perched above thames. It consists of a number of chalets and rooms in a garden setting connected by twisting wooden walkways and decking (kids will love it). The hosts were very friendly and helpful taking our luggage to our room and bringing breakfast in the morning. It was very nice to have breakfast included... More
