The owner was very welcoming, and friendly, and provided us with tea and biscuits on arrival. The Bed and breakfast is situated on the outskirts of the small town of Thames up a very steep hill. Worth the effort for the spectacular views over the tree tops and looking towards the estuary. There is a hot tub and plunge pool for... More

Greeted by owner and children with homemade shortbread, fresh milk and carafe of locally made liqueur.Advised there was a courtesy bus from local pub and that owners would take us to Thai Restaurant if required. All beds in one room upstairs, lovely snuggly bed blankets, but no loo, have to go downstairs, bit of a faff for us oldies.Very well equipped... More

Our welcome to the property was warm and friendly. Felt like we had known the hosts for ages. our room was the Camelia which had a great view to the west - great for sunsets BUT as the weather was warm and sunny the room got so hot in the afternoon you felt like you were baking in an oven.... A real relaxing hideaway from it all set amongst trees high on the hilltops over Thames. Stayed here to start our Hauraki Rail Trail cycle tour and booked in here for the return trip as we'll. The previous outstanding reviews provided some insight of what to expect and our expectations were surpassed. We stayed in the Rose Cottage the first... More

WOW - Great welcome by hosts (Alby & Rachel ) with treats, spacious accommodations and plenty of parking. Our party of 6 easily fitted into adjoining units which were clean, comfortable and well appointed with heaps of outside entertaining areas. Breakfast was amazing - heaps of choice and abundant. Our hosts were knowledgeable, offering guides and advice to various amenities... More

We stayed here on our first night after landing in Aukland at 4pm before exploring the Coromandle peninsula the next day. Alby was the most welcoming and helpful B&B host i have ever met. He was always on hand, helped with our bags and assisted us to find dinner on good friday. breakfast is continental and delivered to the room.... More

We spent our last night in NZ at Grafton Chalets and what a pleasant experience it was. Rachel was so helpful, going out of her way to help after I fell and injured my knee. She gave me ice and band aids then helped my husband carry our bags to the unit. As stated by other guests, the view was... More

I really did not know what to expect when I booked here. We arrived in mid afternoon and were escorted to our room by host Alby. He explained the amenities, described the included breakfast and even provided us with a nightcap. Frankly, once we saw the panoramic view, we did not want to leave. Alby even made this possible, advising... More

We stayed over night on a last minute booking and we're glad we did. It's at the top of a very steep Road then a further steep and narrow driveway but once there the apartment was beautiful with a large and comfortable bed, sofa, dining table, kitchen and TV. Very well presented with great views over the bay albeit rather... More

We were on our way to Coromandels and decided to stay in Thames. Alby and Rachel, husband and wife, run the place with their kids. They're a lovely and friendly bunch, and their kids have a pet rooster which... terrorises people at the carpark (ok just kidding :P he just follows people around the carpark). We arrived earlier than expected... More
