We spent a lovely night in the 'barn' before heading off on the Hauraki Rail Trail. The accommodation suited our needs brilliantly, and Bruz and Shona were very hospitable. The homemade treats and breakfast were especially appreciated. Would certainly stay again.

This bed and breakfast is handy to Thames but in the quiet hills so very peaceful and pleasant. Accommodation was equally pleasant. Nothing flash but had everything you need. Bedroom is upstairs with the ensuite, and a large lounge/kitchen/dining area on the ground floor. Nice hosts.

We enjoyed 2 wonderful days/nights at the Barn and would return in a heartbeat to enjoy both the lovely accommodation and the wonderful warmth and hospitality of our hosts Bruz and Shona. Our room was meticulous in its presentation and the bed so comfortable ensuring a blissful night's sleep. What adds to the excellent accommodation is the location of the... More

We have been here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. We are a family of 4 persons and there was plenty of space for all of us. The breakfast each morning was absolutly delicous and due to the fact we have been here in winter, our friendly and helpful host prepared us a warm living room after... More

The 4 of us had only one night here, gloomy weather prior to our hike the next day, so rather than go into Thames for dinner, ordered takeaways from the local Italian restaurant - excellent value. Would love to come back and stay at the Barns in spring/summer to enjoy the beautiful garden and bbq area.

Great Kiwi hospitality. Excellent to receive such detailed local knowledge from our Hosts, Just what was needed to explore the Coromandel. Our continental Breakfast contained the best of homegrown products. A thoroughly enjoyable stay! Highly recommended. No hesitation in staying here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't have felt more welcome. The owners gave us the perfect amount of friendliness and privacy. The price was $145 - about right - and the room was very comfortable. It did have a sloped ceiling which we banged our heads on a few times, so if your quite tall you might find... More

We arrived late to our converted barn. The 2 large, comfortable en-suite double bedrooms were upstairs - and the stairs were not too steep for our old limbs! The lounge room and kitchen below were superbly fitted out, and our hosts Shona and Bruz had left us a basket of fresh eggs, home made jam and bread, and fresh butter... More

Found this spot through NZ's Grab one. It's listed as a "Barn" but the accommodation is anything but barn like. More shaped like a quonset hut but the interior of the building was very up to date with a full kitchen, comfortable seating in the living area and dining area. Two full bathrooms, one for each bedroom which makes it... More

Was a great B&B to stay over night - my partner and I needed to get out of the city for the night, so we quickly booked, went for a hike and swim at the hot pools, then came back and slept like babies and were woken up by the beautiful birds singing! Breakfast was perfect and easy, and the... More
