We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years mainly because of the location so I feel qualified to write this review having stayed in many of the rooms. In all the time we have stayed there have only been minor decor changes. The hotel is run down and badly needs upgrading, it has uncomfortable beds and pillows,... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback. Hotel Coachman takes pride in our property and is always looking for ways to improve our guest’s experience. Hotel Coachman is constantly upgrading and renovating our property, but it is always good to get an independent perspective of what we could improve on. I would be delighted to speak to... More

The Coachman is a proper hotel in a town with so many motels! The location is handy for the city centre and the university. The hotel seems to run a lot of functions, which gives it a buzz but doesn't compromise the atmosphere of quietness if the rooms that I have stayed in. It has very spacious suites and dedicated... The rooms are light, warm and comfortable, though the decor is a heavy and old-fashioned. Free wi-fi, comfortable beds, quiet room which makes for excellent business travel. The restaurant menu is a bit middle-of-the-road but there are other dining options nearby.

We tend to go to this Hotel because it usually ticks all our boxes. We were dining elsewhere (maybe not such a good choice this time as the meal was just ok) but the room was warm to come back to as we had left the heat pump on, and bed was comfy and we slept well. Good breakfast and... More

Stayed overnight for business. Comfortable room that was warm, clean and had all the facilities that I needed. Great to get free WIFI :-). Friendly, helpful staff who advised us to book for dinner as the hotel was I full that night. There was lots of choice for dinner including many gluten free options. Good wine selection and reasonably priced.

We stayed for 2 nights on a package deal, standard hotel room nice, has two sets of net curtains would have got rid of the white ones in the window as room is quite dark, bed very soft and bouncy which might be okay for some people, bathroom had been semi updated, everything was clean and staff very friendly, breakfast... The bed was super comfy, the location was great (very close to inner city shopping centre), the chocolate biscuits were a nice touch, the bathroom was clean and very nice, free wifi always a bonus. The Coachman has two signs - when you come from the city towards it, the first sign leads you to the motel units and what... More

This was my visit for around 20 years to the Coachman and the standard was great. The décor could be described as country English, but it suits the hotel. Certainly my room had a luxurious feel about it, with 9 pillows on the spacious bed and the bathroom was better than most hotels I have stayed at. I would happily... More

we stayed here for two nights and stayed in one of the studio motels and found the price per night very reasonable. the hotel room had everything we needed, kitchen,tv,bathroom. we could use the spa, pool and gym however we didn't get the opportunity due to our schedule to use these. The bed was terrible, it was lobsided and it... More
