We spent two nights at the Gilgara Retreat in February and couldn't fault our stay here. It is located about 4 miles from the town of Margaret River and is in a peaceful location.

The guest lounge is a lovely place to relax with its cream sofas looking out onto the large garden. There is also a terrace with table and chairs where one can enjoy a drink.

Bottles of cold water are provided along with tea and coffee available in the breakfast room at all times. We really enjoyed our breakfast. The museli with yoghurt and honey was yummy. The owner prepared a cooked breakfast as we had cereals.

Apparently kanagroos graze on the lawn very early morning but we were never up early enough to see that.!

I would definately recommend a stay here. Wish we weren't on the other side of the world which makes a return visit difficult. more
