We stayed at Basildene for 2 nights and it was brilliant. A beautiful and peaceful hotel with the most amazing people who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay(which we most definitely did) A big thank you to everyone especially Jenny, Danny and the girls also to Mario for letting us try his lovely wines(particularly... Wonderful place to stay in Margaret River. My husband and I absolutely loved this bed and breakfast hotel. Great history and character introduced by the well informed staff working at the hotel. Location was perfect - a short walk to town, but close to Cave Road and the coastline. The hotel staff provided good recommendations for day trip touring and... More

Would love to keep this a secret but this is an awesome property. Staff nice Had to pre pay on arrival which is not a problem but had not had to do this before. Breakfast included in our tariff and was excellent Gardens beautiful and facility is extremely well kept.

Dear weaze1, Thank you for your review and I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! I like the tip on "heavy luggage" and I agree that if its at all possible a ground floor room would be best.. Of course nothing is guaranteed with so few rooms to select from but help is always on hand... More

A lovely hotel, with an interesting history. It is well situated for the Margaret River Vineyards. The staff are lovely. But: there is no Wi Fi in the bedrooms. It is supposed to be available in the sitting rooms but it barely works. Slower than dialup and often it doesn't work at all. We were there nearly a week and... More

Dear Mike W, Very happy to hear that you enjoyed the hotel and surrounds. The Cape Region is quite unique with so much to see and do and I agree that Basildene Manor is perfectly positioned to travel to all amenities with ease. The WIFI is a problem for many different reasons but I can assure you that the Accor... More

Stayed here with friends for two nights whilst we enjoyed the Margaret River wineries and scenic surrounds. This is a large and beautifully restored, tastefully refurbished and well-maintained settler's home from circa 1912. The gardens are lovingly cared for and that's where you'll find the swimming pool, tennis court and small lake. We stayed in the Hermitage and Granache rooms... More

Dear Chris M, I am so happy to read that you enjoyed your recent stay at Basildene Manor - it certainly is a beautiful place to relax. The Manor is owned and managed by the Accor Vacation Club and has many members that utilize their points to stay, with these bookings its true that the rooms are not serviced daily.... More

Utterly Perfect in every way! I really don't want to tell you how perfect this venue is as I want to make sure there is a room free when next I return. From the moment we were greeted by Roxanne to the time we were farewelled by Jenny, our experience was perfect. I'll start with the drawbacks: no mini bar!... More

Awesome place, gardens were beautiful. Fantastic staff & service, breakfast was superb, & the Devonshire tea. The scones we received on leaving were a lovely gesture. Staff were so accommodating when left an item behind in our room

We have very much enjoyed our 6- night stay here. As APVC members, we were aware this was not a serviced apartment, nor a hotel as such- more of a high-end bed and breakfast. Our room in the original manor was very large and comfortable, but I agree with another reviewer that bathrobes and a bath would have been appreciated.... More

We stayed here for a week. The location is good, being about 1500m out of the main town centre (certainly walkable). The hotel is beautiful with only about a dozen rooms. The staff were very friendly and gave the most detailed introduction and walkaround a hotel that I've ever experienced. Our room was huge, with a great balcony overlooking the... More

My wife and I had a romantic, 6 day stay and we couldn't have been happier with Basildene Manor. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
