This place was one of the best places I have stayed in, in my world travels. Definitely quirky is an apt description. We stayed in the Captains's Quarters. We entered via the communal kitchen (galley) for the other rooms. It is designed as a stateroom with a clear nautical theme. We had a bathroom with shower, then curtains separated us... More

This inn consists of two or three separate, older, buildings that share a common BBQ area and lounge. The ground floor, two bedroom suite we had was very large but lacked privacy as there were large windows on all sides (with heavy curtains). The quality of your sleep will depend on your neighbours as there is little, if any, soundproofing... More

My review to Cabin 1 and Cabin 2 as follow; -Walking distance to the main street. -Love the self-contained facility mean you can buy food from near by newly established Woolworths or Coles and prepare your own meal. Lovely decor and design in the Engine room -TV in the bedroom is too small (Portable media player size) -Excellent daily room... More

There are three accommodation places in this complex - some with breakfast and some without. The complex sold itself as being in the centre of Margaret River - realistically, it was a good walk into town on unlit roads with no pavements or via even darker back alleys. When we stayed there, the lady at reception was lovely, very welcoming... More

We stayed in the Governors Quarters for two nights before a family wedding. The accommodation is an easy walk into the Main Street of Margaret River. The Governors Quarters sleeps 8, with 2 bathrooms so there was plenty of room for 5 of us. We really enjoyed the relaxed feel of the accommodation, which is set amongst gum trees. The... More

Margaret river is lovely and well worth a visit when in WA. This hotel was great value booked online in advance. The hotel itself is a little dis-jointed with the main reception located at a nearby hotel. There is a communal kitchen area which is lovely, full of nautical artifacts and an outside area to congregate in the evening. Unfortunately,... More

Rooms are a decent size, good shower and bed was comfy enough. Access to communal kitchen facilities, with all crockery and cooking equipment. Free (albeit intermittent) WIFI is a plus. Biggest negative was the quantity of mosquito-like flies in the room (and judging by the stains on the walls, we weren't the first to experience this problem).

I stayed here for three nights as a base to explore Margaret River. I was in a little two-bedroom apartment with a bathroom, kitchenette and verandah. The rooms were dark and a little dusty in places, but quiet and I got a good night's sleep. The location was convenient, just a short walk to the main strip of restaurants and... More

Stayed last weekend at the Admiral Stirling Inn. What a quirky but delightful place. It took quite a while to find it and then to find Reception but once that was taken care of, it was quite delightful. It was nice to stay somewhere a bit different. The rooms (6 & 7 on the Bridge) were small but the beds... More
