I think this is a great place. I had a wonderful lil room, clean and comfy bed, owners are great, kitchen was wonderful, location across from the beach - the waves lulled me to sleep. Yes the floors are a bit uneven but they are ok. The bathroom was a tad dodgy but the toilets worked like toilets and the... More

Great backpackers in heart of geraldton and across the road from the beach. Glenys, Terry and Karin were all very welcoming and friendly as were all the guests. As a solo traveler, staying at Foreshore backpackers made my time in Geraldton awesome. Whether you are working in the area or travelling through Foreshore enables a good mix of the two.... More

Our stay here was dreadful, the floors are uneven and don't feel stable at the best of times, we could hear scratching in our beds (mice or rodent type) tried to ignore to roaches but it was hard, room had NO curtains, locks had been previously broken and replaced as evident by the left over locks and holes. Paint was... More

It is unfortunate that your experience at Foreshore was disappointing for you. I have looked into the matters- unfortunately the CCTV in the common areas near your room showed nothing of the reported scuffle. I have asked other hostel guests that were here on that night and was met with a blank questioning face as they too did not hear... More

Okay if your a back packer. Staff were very nice, helpful and polite. I found that my room did not reflect the cost $70 for a double. Even though the bedding was clean I could smell sweat through the pillow case. I was somewhat disappointed as I had just ridden my motorbike 450kms and was expecting more for my buck...... More

I stayed with a group of people in September last year and was impressed by the cleanliness and location of the place. Had a nice size upstairs t.v. room with foxtel-rare for backpacker hostels and it also had free internet which was great as so many hostels really rip you off with internet connection fees. Had a downstairs tv room... More

I stayed for three nights, and was very impressed with the room - it was clean, the fridge worked (and was quiet), and the bathroom wasn't far away. Sound of the waves a block away as I went to sleep was a nice touch! The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, and the place is very well located -... More

It started good with a nice clean dorm room. It went on with great kitchen facilities. The two well maintained tv rooms with plenty of dvds and foxtel, along with great people did the rest. A nice 5 dollar barbecue with meat included on Friday and free pancake breakfast on Sunday. Top hostel. If I were them I would put... More

I only had time for one night this was my only disappointment, great old building with lots of character, clean and tidy, good facilities little nooks and crannies if you want some quite time. So enjoyed the bath and read for ages big old cast iron style, would recommend the foreshore as a place to stay

Stayed at Foreshore Backpackers for about a week in April. The location is perfect - just cross the street for beach and ocean and staff is quite nice and helpful. Facilities are quite okay, nothing special, but some rooms had issues with bedbugs and on the couch in the TV room some bedbugs were spotted. Kitchen is rather small, pool... More

We hired two double rooms at $70 each so $35 per person. The one rooms fridge didnt work at all. Our fridge was so loud it made it impossible to sleep. Our bedsheets were dusty and had a brown dirt patch. The beds were old, creaked everytime you moved and dipped in the middle. I think the dorms would have... More
