When we arrived we were a bit embarrassed, had we really booked this place? i mean i knew it was cheap but...
We had booked a double room but were given a room with 5 beds! the double bed was the bottom of bunk beds and there were 2 other singles. I can say i didn't sleep much, the bedding was as old as you can imagine and did not appear too clean although that could have just been age. and i am way too old for bunk beds!
The other disappointing thing is the beach! there are some sanddunes and rocks about 10 mins walk away but the beach is about 20 mins walk, they do have bikes you can use free of charge but as per the name i thought it would be on the beach!
The town is really lovely and has some bars, cafes and restaurants but this hostel is quite far and you need to drive to the town, if i go to Warnambool again i'll stay in the town i think where it is a bit more atmospheric. The staff were really friendly and very helpful.
